Julep Kiss & Tell 5-piece It's Balm Lip Set is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, but it’s not a lip balm. These are pretty good lipsticks. It has some soft colors in the set. The key to this product, unlike the hype is, these are not really lip balms. And I live in Hawaii where it’s not even cold and dry. I like it under a lip gloss, like my bare minerals Moxie. It’s super pretty like that. Alone, I did find it settled into fine lines on the lip. It has a creamy finish. Not too shiny, not too satiny. Not matte. I like that they are chubby. It’s easy to apply with it being chubby.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money!!! They are not lip balms. They are dry and bleed all over your lips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice These are good lip colors and quite moisturizing as well. They're natural and probably look good on every skin tone. I combine these with the Julep lipglosses and they look and feel great. Also, they photograph beautifully.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low quality, not really lip balms Julep has a top-notch marketing team that's excellent at creating lots of product hype. I saw this set, needed some good lip balm, so I bought it. What a disaster! First, the colors don't look much like the photo. The three middle shades pretty much look like the same color after they're applied. Secondly, they were not balm-like at all. They tugged and dragged on my lips and they didn't blend very well. They felt sticky and looked chalky, so I couldn't wait to get out my makeup remover and take this stuff off my lips. As someone else mentioned, the cosmetics counter at my local drugstore sells real lip balm and it's a lot cheaper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a moisturizing balm I've had these for several months and still struggling to like them. These are not moisturizing on my lips. I think they are drying but they are fairly long lasting. I would not consider them to be balms at all. The colors are almost too pigmented and bright and they don't work very well on dry winter lips. I find it difficult to stay within the lip line with the darkest shade due to the wide rounded shape of the crayon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not moisturizing enough I have dry lips year round and this was not moisturizing enough for me. If you are looking for an easy way to wear color it would be fine but I need more moisture from something calling itself a lip balm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Julep I don’t understand the hype with these lipsticks as they are very drying, and don’t last.
