Judith Ripka Sterling Diamonique & SimulatedSapphi Estate Earrings
I just love them. They are so much more beautiful in person. All the wonderful detail just doesn't show up as much when you see them on TV. I had been lusting after them since she had the bracelet as a TSV, and when I saw them on easy pay i just couldn't resist anymore and I am so glad I got them. They are a good size, they show up nicely. I will say I envisioned them as larger but they are not small by any means. Such quality and refinement. They make me think of estate jewelry. They will be an heirloom. I will wear them with jeans; not saving them up for anything-I will wear them SO often.
Very beautiful, but...
I had been watching these earrings for months and finally made the plunge. They are beautiful, sparkly and elegant. But they are also VERY heavy; they pull my earlobes down in an unbecoming way and (sob!) I have decided to return them. If heavy earrings don't bother you, go for it - these will do anything from a ball to blue jeans.
A Ripka Basic
LOVE these Earrings!! so basic and classy! these can go with any outfit, and the navy sapphires are so neutral. Can mix these with practically all of my jewelery. very versatile day, office or evening.
Pretty blue sapphires
I'm generally a yellow gold 18K wearer, but thought I couldn't find affordable earrings to go with my sapphire ring I purchased when I was in Bangkok.. These work for me. I also got Judith Ripka's cuff J266669. They work well together and the shade of sapphire in these earrings is better than the real sapphires in the cuff.
No Sparkle, Too Heavy
I thought it was my own feeling that these were quite heavy but I agree with the review posted by the Michigan Professor. I waited in anticipation to receive these as they would match a necklace that I own but after wearing them in the house yesterday ( I received them the day before) I found they were heavy and also did not sparkle up as great as I expected. I am fair with natural blond/gray hair and freckles. I think these would look better on a darker hair/skinned person wherein they would show up better. I am disappointed and am returning them.
After reading other reviews I'm debating if I should return these. They are beautiful and classy but when they arrived one post was bent. I managed to straighten it but I haven't worn them yet so I don't know what to expect. The one good thing is that QVC and Judith Ripka will stand behind their product so I have no fear that if anything happens, I'm covered.
HEIRLOOM, ESTATE, PERFECTION~
One of the most beautiful earrings ever. When you think timeless classic, then you have to be thinking that this is the "best ever". Nothing can compare to the size, or cut, or color of the Sapphire stones~ they are amazing!
These are truly exceptional - get it while you can as it is on clearance. It works with my 18k estate pieces, it works on its own; it just works. The diamonique is the right size, the "sapphires" are wonderful (sapphires wish they could looks this good), and they fit perfectly, don't miss this one!
THE BEST------AS USUAL
The blue stones were so clear and beautiful and, of course, the clear diamonique was perfect as usual. They are quietly elegant and very tastefully done as only Judith can do. I have many many pieces of Judith's jewelry and each one is a treasure. I guess I am one of the quiet Ripkaneesta fans. I don't blog or facebook, but if you are in doubt about any of Judith's pieces, don't be.
Convincing Estate Look
Lovely, comfortable, go with everything. They don't scream "Look at me." So they work well as a go to earring when I wear bold-ish bracelets or an attention grabbing fuller necklace.
I don't agree with the reviewer who stated that the blue of these created sapphires look fake. I think it's just right.
Wore these recently around a room full of wealthy ladies who have the financial backing/lifestyle to wear only genuine stones. I didn't have a moments hesitation in wearing these....... They are classic, classy, and perfectly appropriate for any occasion. Thanks Judith.
Very estate looking earrings.
These match up well with some of my Tacori IV QVC pieces because they have a similar vintage, yet still a hint of the modern. I really like that they don't scream Diamonique. They are subtle and therefore very believable that they might be real. Only give away that they are not real is most of the 'real' blue sapphires are not as bight (good sign of high end sapphire quality) blue as these faux sapphires are. I really love mine and don't find they are too heavy on my ears at all. They fit up high with no visable sign of the post going into your piercing hole. Thus, they have that true 'huggie hoop' look to them which I love. They are smaller - don't expect a big hoop. But in my opinion the size/scale of these is just perfect. Thank you so much Ms. Ripka. I will have and wear these the rest of my life! Love to see some companion pieces with this same angled open and milgrain work. I wear these a lot with my 'baby sister' classic Ripka bracelet, next to a Ripka watch and a set of Ripka stacking rings. Then I drape my neck in a wonder 36" Ripka Diamonique by the Yard looking necklace. It's a simple look that goes with so many of my things, from casual to dressy. These earrings have brought me a lot of compliments. I KNOW friends assume they are real since I have a lot of sapphires and other precious gems in white and yellow gold both bought before the gold prices went into the sky! LOVE the fact that Ripka pieces are covered with an Epiphany (platinum) plating process over the sterling silver so that they are easy care.
Pretty, but . . .
These earrings are very pretty. My concern is the thinner than normal post on the pieced style. In fact, one earring post was already bent when I opened the box for the first time! Are these posts so slim as to be apt to break-off after only a few wearings? Doubt that an exchange would be any different . I am simply tired of playing the "exchange game".
