Rated 5 out of 5 by from More versatility than meets the eye;wow gems, too! Judith Ripka J320073 39.6ctw multi-gem 36" toggle necklace Grade: A+ Yea: much more versatility than just 36" Boo: would be improved with lobster closure and fitting the links for length changes Value #1=low; 10=high#: 7 #at LTS price# This is a very interesting necklace. I watched the Q video featuring Jill, keeping in mind the prior reviews which complained about the multi-gem stations on either side of the necklace flipping #trilliant Blue Topaz, hexagonal Smoky Quartz, medium Citrine oval cabochon, emerald cut Peridot and trilliant Amethyst#. I have small 12" neck and wondered if I could criss-cross the triple chains behind my neck and do the toggle closure in front of the sweet spot. So, this was the first thing I did upon receipt. It *just* worked, leaving the gem stations about an inch and one-half below my collar bones on either side. Checking the mirror, I decided that it worked, giving a low choker with longer triple chain look, pretty! So, I wondered if I could try a couple of more looks and GENTLY did a couple of double knots with the fluid chains behind my neck, thereby shortening the necklace. The weight held it nicely and I had no problem undoing my handiwork with no impact on the necklace. I also think this necklace could respond to Judith's classic safety-pin-to-alter-the-length trick if you can hide the back under hair, etc. About the stations flipping: yes, with body movements, this will make the necklace move. This is normal. But what is interesting is that the back of the gems are totally enclosed in soft slant Berge embossed sterling in the shape of each gem. So, when they are flipped, it looks sort of like 1960s mod shapes. You cannot see any gems whatsoever. To me, this creates a totally different necklace look, more casual and even a bit hip. Even more versatility! The quality of this design is very nice, with three fluid, carved chains #width 5/16" together#, multi-gem stations 2 7/8" by 1" for the Smokey hexagons. The gems are stellar: eye clean, vibrant and beautiful. Miniscule DMQ at 1/7th carat. Only complaint would be that the toggle is too thin for this design and should be more robust to hold the necklace together. All in all, while a true investment piece, I think there are many ways to wear this necklace which will make it worthwhile. Definite winner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Backside Really wanted to love this necklace; the concept is awsome. Since this necklace constantly flips over, to have the silver on the backs of the stones looked too cheap. I would buy this and recommend this in a heartbeat if the stones were clear all the way thru, that way it would not matter if the necklace turned. Just a little too much money to spend and not be happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from flipping over issue First let me say these stones are AWESOME....when I could see them.. I'm not sure why but the stones flip over so all you see is the silver backings.
