Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenoenal beauty I've wanted this spinel ring in the yellow since the first time I saw it a few years ago. I waited and waited for it to go on sale and it never did. I kept waiting and the next thing I knew, it sold out. I didn't want to miss out again, so I ordered it immediately this time. This ring is absolutely phenomenal in the yellow. The black spinel sparkles within it's black rhodium clad setting (prongs and background). The black spinel really pops surrounded by beautiful yellow gold clad metal, which in this ring is an even more exceptional color than usual. The color combination is perfection. There wasn't a red clad version before and I think it may also be perfection. I might have to order it to find out. This particular JR ring design speaks to me and I now own three, the sterling DMQ, the sterling blue sapphire and now this one. I would still like to get my hands on the yellow clad DMQ and now maybe the red clad spinel. Ever since I bought the blue sapphire, I don't feel the need to get the sterling spinel version, as they seem similar enough to me.
