Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality surprise. I don’t usually do reviews but felt strongly on this product. I ordered this top in black because it looked sharp. Out of the bag I ran my hand over the fabric. It is supposed to be velvet. If you run your hand down the front it is stiff. If you run up from the bottom it is soft as velvet should.. also at the mock neck it has a zipper. The label is at the front near the mock neck, when you open the zipper you can see the label sticking out. What gives, Joan would not like this... Quality is not showing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A wonderful wardrobe addition, but...... I bought this top to go with the Joan Rivers plaid skirt. I purchased the S and it fit fine on my 5’4’ body of 155 lbs. I did want to give purchasers a heads up. The pile of this top runs upward. This means that it’s softness is not felt unless you run your hand upward on the garment hem to neck). As a seamstress this is sometimes done with velvets and velours to bring out the color of the fabric or make it appear less dull.. But most pieces I own have the nap or pile running downward. It feels a bit odd but for the sales price is not a deal breaker. If you want to feel the softness, you won’t when you run your hands down your sleeves. All the naps are going in the same direction so that is at least good.
