Rated 3 out of 5 by from There's a reason the original wasn't one piece Overall, the brooch from the front is very pretty. From the back, it looks as if they used old stainless steel silverware to melt down and cast it. Sorry, but there is a reason that Joan's original was made to be four pieces, with four fasteners, that could be worn separately or together. And that is because the brooch is too long and too heavy for one fastener, no matter how long it is. The fastener on the back is also too high, causing the brooch to roll as you move instead of laying flat. The only place I can think it might work is the lapel of a heavy wool winter coat, because it sure wasn't appealing on a regular shirt. Considering the cost, this brooch should have been made in three pieces to help it lay correctly. Live and learn. This is the first, and last, Joan Rivers item I will purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPECIAL PIECE just for ME! I purchased a couple of sweaters from the Joan Rivers collection and one of the hosts was wearing this pin with it. It was more than I would normally pay for a costume brooch but this was so worth it. If you are considering it, don't hesitate. The quality far exceeded my expectations and I love wearing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Wait I had this pin on waitlist! I didn't know if I would get it or not but when I did it was more beautiful and substantial than I remembered. You won't be disappointed! I love it and will wear it on coats, jackets and heavier sweaters and blouses.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed The brooch was not attractive. It just looks cheap and dingy. Back it goes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Purchase I receive compliments every time I wear this pin. Strangers come up to me and tell me how beautiful it is. I don't wear many pins (necklaces instead) but this is a keeper. It is such a quality piece, try it you will love it. Love, love this pin! I usually wear necklaces, but I am so thrilled that I made this purchase. It is stunning and I receive so many compliments when I wear it. I can't tell you how many strangers come up to me and say how beautiful it is. Don't hesitate to purchase it if you are unsure. You will be so happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Absolutely Real-Stunning!! I am a major vintage jewelry collector (especially antique European paste from the Edwardian/deco era) and I have to say this is one of the best pieces that has ever been done by JR (I started buying her pieces in the 1990s when they were truly the best and made in the USA). . The only thing I might have done differently is to blacken the metal to give it the true antique feeling of the original one that I believe was diamonds set in blackened silver topped gold, , but I don't think that would have been as popular with the customers, so they made the finish a little lighter and more contemporary. Otherwise, this piece is impeccable. The stone setting, the dimensional mounting, all if it is just fabulous and so beautifully done. The price for this piece is a GIFT as it is very difficult to find these even in antique and vintage costume jewelry today and if you did you might pay hundreds of dollars. This one is a definite keeper. I love it!!
