Rated 3 out of 5 by from Side Plaid Does Not Match Plaids not matching on the side is a huge pet peeve of mine. HUGE. So I was reluctant to get this because other reviewers said theirs did not match and the models’ did not match, so I knew what I was getting into. I wanted the hunter black but waited too long and got the taupe black hoping I would luck out with matching. Ordered my usual QVC size and it was consistent. The swing style is a flattering cut. The polyester is convenient for keeping clean and the plaids are cute retro. The plaid on mine does not match on the sides, nor at the seem on the back of the arms. The plaids line up at the front closure and the front of the sleeves. The plaid at the back yoke is also off in spacing where the yoke attaches to the bottom swing panel. Sounds like a wreck right? However, the jacket is still cute because of the swing cut and 1940’s plaid. I would buy the Hunter if it were available in Large - very catholic uniform/classic British chic. There is a new Joan swing coat I noticed but the plaids on that version are truly chaotic so I will definitely pass on this years’ version. Plus this years’ plaids aren’t retro inspired and are generic, no oomph. David - this could be an annual winner with vintage plaids and just a little more attention to detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for S. CA! I have a Charcoal blazer by Joan Rivers that I bought last year, love, and receive many compliments on. I just received this in the Navy/Black and love it as well. It's actually roomier than I thought and the material is very soft. Even though it's a running-around-coat, I like to feel elegant and Joan's style delivers that chic. It's perfect for S. CA. Not too heavy, but weighty enough for warmth. I'm 5'8, xs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Attention to detail Love the plaid. Ordered the Black and Tan and the light blue stripe is so pretty. Why the 3 and why I returned it. The plaid did not match up on the sides looks cheap. The cut of the coat is awesome but the pleat in the back only adds bulk especially with all the pattern going on. I’m sure the pleat is awesome on solid coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings I received my order yesterday, loved what I saw, tried it on, the fit was great and enough room to layer. I threw out all the packaging and went to hang it up. That's when I noticed on the back of the coat it looks like a flaw in the material that went unnoticed, it almost looks like the start of a button hole. Anyway I do like the coat but have to exchange.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Good Looking I love the coat in black and hunter green. It fits like a glove and the weight makes me think it will be nice and warm. I only gave it 4 stars because the plaid is not matched on the sides. This makes the coat look less expensive than it really looks. I'm looking forward to wearing it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Coat This is a terrific coat: great fabric, vivid colors, fun style. I have received so many compliments in this coat, and I'm coming back for another. Nothing nicer than a well-designed cloth coat. Would love to see this style in solid colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely! I ordered the Blue/Black and love it. The fabric is beautifully soft and the plaid is very becoming. On mine, the plaid it is matched perfectly at all the seams including the sides. Only problem is I listened to the reviews and sized down one size. Wish I hadn't because I now find the upper sleeves are tight - but the body is fine. I'm keeping it (size I should have ordered is sold out) and will just plan to wear it with lighter clothes underneath instead of heavier sweaters. I highly recommend this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compliments Galore Every single time I’ve worn this jacket I’ve gotten a compliment from total strangers. I love the length of it and the quality of the fabric. A total win!
