Rated 4 out of 5 by from A perfectly lovely reminder of Joan Rivers... I ordered this at Christmas time and had forgotten all about it. I came across it in a drawer today and paused to open it. All I can say is what a perfectly lovely and appropriate reminder of Joan. It is a lovely costume piece and I will look for some occasion to wear it and remember the woman herself. I had no issue with a loose bail. Mine is quite secure. My only reservation is that I wish it had been done in a gold tone or a silver tone metal, not in this dirty bronze tone. Though, if truth be told, the metal will not be seen as all eyes will be on the dazzling rhinestones. As a pin or as a pendant, I think it will be beautiful. Can be worn in so many ways. I am very glad that the Q has kept the Joan Rivers products in their line up. David D does a fantastic job in presenting everything and I hope this line stays with us. Joan was gone too soon and these fashion items are a tangible way to honor her life and legacy...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Joan Rivers Cross Pin/Pendant Pearl - Disappointed I too was very excited to receive the Cross Pin/Pendant Pearl Necklace, after it initially sold out. I received the necklace around 1/19/19 and have been extremely disappointed because the bail will NOT stay closed. I've attempted to wear this necklace twice and each time the necklace has fallen off my neck. The second time I attempted to wear the necklace, it fell off and I wasn't able to find the bail. I tried to reorder, planning to return my faulty necklace and now see there are none available and after viewing the blogs, realize mine is not an isolated problem. I've very disappointed and paying good money for something that was not as it was presented to be. I'm going to see if I can find a jeweler that can repair for me, rather than return, since it is not available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too bad This is an attractive piece but what a disappointment that the bail will not stay closed to support the weight of the cross pin! I would actually rather have it permanently attached than take a chance on it falling off and becoming damaged or losing it. I tried several times and every time I let go, the cross just falls off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Pretty, Pearl strand could be improved I liked wearing these separately and love that it is versatile to wear together or separate. The pin is very pretty and I got compliments when I wore it. The necklace is nice and has an expansion chain but it's not the best quality faux pearl strand. If you watch the video presentation closely you can see where a few pearls bind a bit and don't lay so nicely. I didn't pay close attention but found that when I wore it and then noticed on the presentation. I played with stretching it (by hand) a bit just to loosen up the string which helped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful ! Just received this necklace today, and it is soooo beautiful! The crystals really dazzle - I would have given it 5 stars, but the larger stones - though they do reflect light quite nicely, don’t have quite as much light refraction as the smaller crystals. This is very nice upscale fashion jewelry; so I don’t have the expectations that I would have for my fine jewelry. It comes in it’s own velvety drawstring pouch. All in all, I would buy this again in a heartbeat! Can’t wait to wear this out for a nice occasion !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where's the sparkle? I was looking forward to wearing this versatile necklace/pin in many ways, but when it arrived, all that went out the window. The stones look like plain old glass. No sparkle or shine. And some of them are set crookedly. They are set in a metal that is black and looks dirty. Even the chain and clasp look old and tarnished. Wouldn't pay $10 for this, much less $99. Already sent it back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Such a disappointment I own dozens of pieces of Joan Rivers jewelry and there are pieces I've had for over 20 years, which look just a beautiful today. I can't believe this piece is from the Joan Rivers line, much less from the "Private Collection." I purchased this in May, but just took it out of the box today to wear for the first time. i had planned to mix the pearls from this item in with some of my older Joan pearls. Couldn't do it - the older pearls are creamy and lustrous, and these are tiny, white and cheap looking. Then I thought I'd put the new, cheap string of pearls aside and attach the pendant to my old pearls. Nope. First, the pendant was obviously light and flimsy. Then the clasp opened before I even left the house and came crashing to the ground. Sadly, I think items like this are tarnishing the reputation of the Joan Rivers Jewelry line. I have purchased fewer and fewer items of her jewelry over the years, and it seems like I'll purchase even fewer going forward.
