Hoover Air Pro Bagless Upright Vacuum is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 136.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless on hard floors, okay on carpets. This cleaner is not working on hard woods, absolutely no cleaning function. Works more or less okay on carpets but doesn't show any effect on wooden floors. Vacuum is created well by the motor but it's the very poor design of the suction nozzle which does not give any vacuum on hard wood floors. Other than that the cleaner is very heavy and unhandy as well as very noisy. Absolutely no recommendation for this cleaner!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what we bargained We bought this less than 3 years ago and for a year now it has been giving us grief. It always heats up and we can't finish vacuuming our little carpet in the living room only in an 800 sq ft home. Constantly have to clean the filter after every use to get the machine to work again. Only 2 adults live in this house pet free so it shouldn't be much for this vacuum to handle!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Newer Isn't Better The hose gets clogged and need cleaning much too often. Truthfully, my old bag cleaner does a much better job. It picked up pet hair and everything else. I just didn't like buying bags. I wish Hoover would make a simple vacuum without all the special filters and hoses. Maybe if the hoses had a smoother inside surface, the dirt, dust and hair wouldn't get caught. I got a Hoover because my mother always loved her Hoover. But hers had the old fashioned bag. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vacuum amazing warranty Got it for Christmas 3 months ago. I have two cats in the house and it does a great job. All the tools, features and ease of cleaning make it the best vacuum I've ever had. Plus it's 5 yr warranty matches all of Dyson's warranties which just shows that you can buy vacuums 1/3rd of the price and get the same quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from shuts off within 5 minutes of vacuum and turns back on after several hours. this is the worst vacuum cleaner that I have ever bought. it shuts off within 5 minutes of vacuuming??? the motor just shuts off. you have to clear the air filter every time it shuts off. it will turn back on after several hours and then shuts off again in 5 minutes... what a nice vacuum cleaner by hoover.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great vacuum as long as the roller brush works. I have had this vacuum for maybe 2.5 years. It has great suction but the better bar has stopped working twice!!! Last time it was fixed under Warren but took like 2 months. This morning it broke again. *sigh* It has a 5 year Warranty so I will be sending it in again. Have 2 small kids and a broke vacuum is such a challenge. I would not buy this vacuum again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this vacuum cleaner a couple of years ago and have some issues with it. I have spent hours unscrewing the brush to cut all of the hair that gets wound around it and then spring it back into place. Also it doesn't get into corners and up against walls very well. Finally I end up using my hand to pull all of the dust and dirt out of it which is gross. Very unhappy with this vacuum cleaner

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly Designed But Well Intentioned Cyclonic Vacuum I bought this vacuum to replace my original Hoover Windtunnel which is non cyclonic but canister and is also poorly designed in that you have to clean the wire mesh screen every 40-150 square feet depending on how often you vacuum. The Air Pro is definitely an improved design and the steerability is excellent but it is by far not the best vacuum. My first problem occurred when larger items such as bits of paper were getting stuck and causing a pile up on the disc inside the canister. This stops the main cyclonic action and causes excessive buildup on the filter which causes the vacuum to loose suction. This disc should be smaller. The other main flaw is that the Air Pro doesn't have floor height adjustment. This causes the vacuum to suction cup itself to smooth flat floors like linoleum when you turn the brush roll off. Ironically it doesn't do this with the brush roll on because of the fast moving protruding brissels. The other issue I had with the Air Pro is the unnecessary use of a switch to use the cleaning wand. The designers could've easily removed that feature and created a easier switch to wand use and not allow you to accidentally sweep large portions of your house pointlessly because you forgot to turn that switch. This vacuum could be great but it definitely missed that mark due to bad design and pricing factors.
