I have a mixed review about this product. I live in a very tiny older home originally built as a summer vacation lake getaway. There is no attic space and the space between the roof and the ceiling is the width of the timber between them. This property gets a LOT of sun. Now, that being said, this entire house fits right into the 400 square foot maximum that this a/c should work in. when the days are in the mid to upper 80s and the sun is not crack in the ozone kind of hot, this unit will make the house quite comfortable, down into the 70s and then to a low of 69/70 at night. However, as soon as the heat gets like this current heat wave (that feels like it has lasted more than a month) in the upper 90's everyday, the rrom the a/c is in gets to a low of about 82 during the day and right now at 11pm it states 76, the rest of th house gets up to about 87 and a low right now of about 81...this unit cannot handle very hot temps but if in the 80s it will handle just fine. I hope this helps...NO after this, I would never spend this kind of money on an air conditioner of this type...I truly thought it would do more than the window a/c I had previously at 7600BTUs and no, it is the same results. This is the 2nd year with this unit and I have the same results...People who complain about the noise however should get a life...this is an a/c and airconditioners have condensers and air handlers, this is not going to change bc its not in a window, infact it might be a little more because part of it is not outside...this was a major purchase for me and I have learned my lesson...

Disappointed
Sure wish the compressor had worked. Was so disappointed. Good thing was QVC did work with me about getting this large item picked up for the return. Appreciated that.

V32101 Haier - On the fence
The specific unit I wanted to comment about is not listed, so this is the closest one. The unit is operating well (just set up) and has cooled the room well. However, the venting tubes, connectors and window attachment need some serious re-engineering. Took two hours to get just one venting tube to stay in place as the ends kept popping out of the window assembly. Window assembly only permitted one venting tube connection as the inserts partially covered one of the holes and would not provide sufficient space for the second tube to attach. Tubing is very inflexible and kept preventing both ends from staying connected to the unit and/or window assembly. Lastly, the remote. Seriously, an eyeglass screwdriver is required to open the battery compartment! Who thinks like this? Obviously, not an end-user.

GREAT PURCHASE
VERY GREAT PURCHASE , BUT I WISH THAT THE UNIT WAS SMALLER AND DID'NT TAKE UP MUCH SPACE, EVEN WITH WINDOW ATTACHMENT, NEED TO BE BETTER DURABILTY NOT PLASTIC. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE PROFORMACE, IT'S GREAT. THAT'S WHY I WILL GIVE IT FIVE STARS.

Fire
After having this item for less than 90 days and getting it it stalled just 48days ago it started smoking and smelled like fire. JUNK. Having an attorney look into this. JUNK

just terrible-waste of money
this is my third summer, and the unit doesn't cool at all, starting from beginning- it cooled down to 70, the second summer-it was 73, and now-the temperature in the room is 80-78 , there is no cooling effect or the ice production in the machine, thinking- to rid of it--the hose is so annoying, it comes out when you move the unit, I should buy 100 bucks regular air conditioner instead

Yuck
It started leaking 4 days after receiving it, no water in pan to empty, it was all over the floor!!! Called haier, they requested all types of paperwork, sent it to them. Took 6 weeks for them to replace it. We will see if this one works any better.

So far no problems...
I have had this AC for about 2 weeks now, live in CA, hot!!! The first 2 days took a little time to get the temp down, now it is working like a charm. I have this in my bedroom, turn it on 1 hour before bedtime, the temp is perfect. And this is my second one, bought one 3 years ago, it have saved my sleep in the summers. I do like the smaller size of this one and the metallic, more modern. And thanks QVC for the easypay!!

haier 120000 btu ac/heaer
worst product i have ever received. would not cool 20x15 size room, never dropped below 85
was onlly 92 outside/ does not blow forceful air out to reach 3' from unit.
window unit $198 cool better than this garbagel cost a fortune to send back/
so sorry i did business with you.

not as advertised
i received the unit at the end of winter. tried the heater but it would not go any higher than 77
the directions say 61 to 89. made some calls for repair but it is to much of a Hassel. come summer it's time to try ac. I've had this unit on for hours and the temp has only dropped by 3 degrees. I've tried several times and it's the same. the hose at the back throws so much heat that it is fighting it self to cool the room. I say room because it barley does that. I gave away a 5500 btu window unit for this one big mistake. that 5500 would cool 2 1/2 rooms no problem. the cost for return was a little over 150.00 I'm not throwing good money after bad.

HOT AND FRUSTRATED
I am so upset about this purchase. I really should have read the reviews carefully. I purchased the Haier 10,000 btu unit for my bedroom and this one for my livingroom. The 10,000 Haier btu unit is working fine, so far, but this one has really been a nightmare. First, I would like to say that the set up was very easy. Nonetheless I have to send back this unit only after running it for two days. I hooked up this unit at 6 in the morning and around four in the afternoon I noticed it was leaking alittle from the side openings.
The unit ran all night and it was fine, but when I returned home the next morning, I was informed by a family member that it had turned off in the early morning hours. I called Haier's customer service line and the young lady who assisted me was extremely professional, patient, and kind. I was advised to empty the unit and run the dehumifification mode to extract the moisture from the air. I followed her advice and the unit was operating fine. After five hours of operation,it filled up with water again and stop running. When I came out of my bedroom to get ready for work, I walked into a SCORCHINGLY HOT livingroom. Within a day and a half this unit filled up with water twice and once it did, it did not work. I can not empty this machine two and three times a day. New York is very hot and now i will have to go without an air conditioner in my livingroom this week, until I purchase I new one, after spending over four hundred dollars for this one.
My elevator is being serviced this week so I hav no way of returning this piece of junk and receiving a new unit until another two weeks. THANKS HAIER for making my pets and I sweat, while in the living room.Qvc should not charge customers shipping fees on returns for big faulty electronics; especially since it is such a bother trying to fix them before resorting to sending them back. THIS ONE IS GOING BACK. WORSE PURCHASE EVER MADE.

I own 3 of these " Heaven on Wheels" Units
Like so many others - I have a room in both of my homes that no matter what...they are always hot in the Summer and freezing in the winter. I purchased my 1st unit to just see how it would work out...and needless to say- the Angels sang! These are outstanding units. I have one in each of my home's bedrooms and then another right to the side of my kitchen/eating area to combat the heat that cooking causes. I really cannot say enough good things about these a/c and heat units. Both features - a/c and heat work unbelievably well. And for all those wondering about energy efficiency-I run mine 24/7 (except for draining the unit of any water buildup and cleaning the filter every 2-3 weeks) and I have not moved my thermostat from the temperature I had set before owning the units. My electricity went up by $2.50! Considering that I cannot place a value on this product and think they are indispensable - I will gladly pay the extra $2.50. As my Grandfather used to say- if he knew one man that went to Heaven...it had to be the man that invented air conditioning because he has brought so many people pleasure. LOL- and I totally agree. Keep these units in stock QVC...they are worth their weight in Gold!
