Rated 1 out of 5 by from SLOW Terrible time wasting fatal errors. Terrible time wasting fatal errors, the computer shuts down in the middle of projects and MS applications. Lost 25 hours worth of project work because the computer "FROZE" and shut down. I wish I had just returned it. HP was NO help is not helpful at all. The error code displayed for the reason for the shutdown ties back to an unknown fatal error, WORST PURCHASE EVER.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment - chronic green screen of death Chronic fatal errors, where the computer shuts down in the middle of projects. Lost 10 hours worth of college project because the computer "hiccuped" and shut down, deleting the entire project. (file name could be found, but the file was empty). I wish I had just returned it. Microsoft help is not helpful at all. The error code displayed for the reason for the shutdown ties back to an unknown fatal error - not helpful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Love My Hp! This is a great and very quiet PC. The problem i had with it was that it was very slow in opening applications such as word, internet, etc. So i upgraded the memory from 4gb to 16gb. Now everythings loads n opens so fast! Booting up may be a little slow but the good news is you can upgrade the processor. So im going to upgrade mine next month.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Incredibly Slow and underpowered I ordered this PC because the one I built finally broke after 7 years. I play light to medium games (such as The Sims, Sid Meyer's Civilization, and many pre-2000 titles), surf the web, and watch a lot of streaming movies on services such as Netflix and YouTube. Since this unit only came with 4GB RAM, I intended to add my 4GB Radeon RX480 card to it so that things SHOULD have been sufficient. Well, let me just say that I now know what Clint Eastwood meant by "molasses in winter time!" I didn't add my video card because the power supply is an anemic 180 watt unit and I feared the system would crash under the load. They were using 145 - 160 watt PSUs in the 1990s and HP has only pushed that to 180 watts! Using the built-in Vega graphics of the Ryzen 3 and the 4GB system Ram (2GB after sharing with the CPU), my system was so slow and choppy that game services like Steam and Origin wouldn't even open - much less allow me to play my games! Even Masters of Orion 2 (circa 1995) played like it was running at 18 fps. And streaming videos would stutter every now and then. Opening more than three apps at a time was almost pointless. I was actually shocked at the poor performance o this computer - especially given the one 5-star rating above. If the Power supply unit (a small, custom sized unit at that) would allow meaningful upgrades, I could live with it for now. But given the current situation, it's going back.
