HP 17.3" OMEN Laptop - Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 128GB SSD is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great specs, but cheap everywhere else. This laptop is great for gaming. The 1060 (6gb) card can run all of the latest games comfortably. I get over 80 fps in Resident Evil 2 and it ran so good I'm going to trade in my PS4 copy and just have my PC file be my main one. So why did I give this laptop 3 stars? The build quality is not good. It feels really cheap compared to other gaming laptops that I've owned. I have an Asus Rog with a 980m and it feels much better than this laptop. My Asus Rog is made of aluminum and this HP Omen is made from cheap plastic. The keyboard is average at best while my Rog's is amazing, and the only saving grace this laptop has is the pretty colors that light up on the keyboard. Seriously, the colors make this laptop look amazing, but once you touch it that feeling of excitement that you'll have will probably fade away. If this is your first gaming laptop you'll probably love this thing. Like I said above it's a powerhouse. It can run everything at 1080p. Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 2, and Anthem are amongst the most graphically impressive games I've run on this thing so far and the performance that I've gotten on all of these games, except Anthem it's not optimized very well, is amazing, but it really is a cheap laptop when compared to the big boys like Asus, Acer, and MSI. I'll even put Alienware above this and I hate Dell with a passion. This laptop is pretty on the inside, but ugly as heck on the outside and that's why it's only getting 3 stars.
