- 3 cups carrots, chopped into 1" pieces
- 4–5 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp white pepper, ground
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- Place all of the ingredients in a 10" fry pan and place over high heat. Bring pan to a boil and cook carrots until tender and the liquid has reduced, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to serve.
