Giant Magnetic Pattern Blocks is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blocks? "Pattern Blocks" are the specific name for this set of shapes. They are not 3D. They have fascinating properties of area and ratios of angles. I have used them for thirty years to teach mathematics from elementary school math to high school Geometry. I'm ordering these!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not "blocks" as title states-but mag vinyl Title " Giant Magnetic Pattern Blocks" states "blocks" as well as in the description, however, these are not blocks. The items come on magnetic sheets, for you to peel off and use on refrigerator, etc. (like twister vinyl but with flexibility & a thickness of cardboard). Am sure they are nice for some customers uses, but for me, was looking to supplement magnetic block sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Older Preschooler and K Giant Magnetics Perfect for demonstration, proportionately sized pieces are 3 times the length of standard pattern blocks on each side. Largest piece (hexagon) measures 6". Includes 47 magnetic pieces plus activity guide. My 4 year-old son and I play with these all the time. We put them on a magnetic white board at his level, so he plays with them all the time. He uses white board markers on them sometimes, but the marker rubs right off. The only thing I wish I had known is how thin they are. It's made of magnetic sheets and covered with a sticker. They are durable, but I wish they were easier for my son's little hands to remove from the board. However, he doesn't seem to be frustrated by how thin they are, so it's minor. These are great pattern blocks and very inexpensive. I love the idea of having magnetic pattern blocks! They are a great math manipulative for my preschool head start classroom , Reinforce shape recognition, symmetry, congruency, fractions, area and more! Perfect for demonstration, proportionately sized pieces are 3 times the length of standard pattern blocks on each side-and 9 times greater in total area! The one thing I do wish this set had was circles squares and rectangles. I do feel it is a set that is best for older preschoolers once they have learned their basic shapes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Multiple Children I received this product to review in our home. We used the product in so many ways. I love how it helps me demonstrate math concepts to multiple children, including my own! It is open-ended and great for multiple ages. It's also a perfect match for the smaller pattern blocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spans many ages & Versatile These are great and you get plenty of shapes! You can use them for SO many different lessons such as fractions, shapes, area, etc. Love the bright colors which makes them great even in preschool. If you dont have a magnetic board you can use a cookie sheet or lay them on a desk for centers! I received these to review and I know that our school will have these for years as they are very durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for geometry vocabulary! I reviewed this product on The Organized Classroom Blog and when you are teaching basic geometric vocabulary these could be so helpful! I don't know how many times I have tried to draw a decent looking hexagon on the whiteboard so I could label the vertices and sides and how easy this would have been instead - lol! They are all backed with magnet material, so they are great for a math center where you have placed the blocks and some cookie trays/sheets! Great resource for the classroom for student and teacher use!
