Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zero-Star Fabric Used to Make a Five-Star Skirt Love this type of skirt for dancing, so I ordered three. After all, the poly/rayon/spandex combo works with pants. This, however, is almost like a nubby knit w/out the nubs. It has a roughness that chapped hands, a tiny hangnail or a nail needing a little filing will catch on. Ick! I see a lot of piling in its future, too...at least the potential for it is too high for moi. My money has to count for something, and this just isn't good enough. In addition, though the waistband is wide, the elastic in it is only 1" wide. It's called cutting corners. Over time, it's unlikely such construction will hold up, especially if worn regularly for something like work. I didn't think I needed to check the presentation video. Big mistake. Though I'm not sure the type of fabric would have been visible. Back they go...I'd rather have something with pockets, anyway. SIZING: At 5'4", 135# w/39" hips and a waist a bit too big at 36", I ordered an XXS, XS, and a S (though can't remember why) but tried on only the two smallest. Both fit, though the fabric of the smaller one laid in a sort of concave manner in front, whereas the XS hung straight. Thus, the former would tend to emphasize a slightly protruding tummy that isn't noticeable at all in the other. Length was fine at about mid-knee. It's just the quality isn't there. Should have been made of rayon with a little spandex. Can't imagine what GS was thinking with this fabric, which, by the way, is nothing like crepe at all...like not even close. In fact, I would think its description as a "crepe knit" is a virtual impossibility, something I would expect all the "fashionistas" at QVC to catch and correct.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost Right The only problem I have to report is the pilling that occurs almost immediately. I wore the skirt once and looked at the seat. It was pilled in the perfect shape of my rump. I've worn it since and it pills every time. The fabrication should be reviewed - I don't want to fuss over it after every wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ordered Three Skirts I love this skirt, here is my review.... FABRIC - The fabric feels like a knit type fabric and I like the thickness to hid lumps and bumps. I did not need to wear spanx as I normally do under most summer skirts.....LENGTH - I am 5'6 1/2 and for me it was knee length if you are taller it will be above your knee, for me it could not be any shorter or I would have to had returned it. I am able to sit down without it being too short, always REMEMBERs...skirts rise when you sit down.....FIT....It has a nice swing but not too full like a 50's skirt, I ordered an XL which is my normal size in fuller skirts, I would not recommend sizing down....COLORS.....I ordered the black and light cream (close to white but not not stark white#, now the other colors...I ordered the yellow and it is YELLOW AND A DARK OYSTER, #just as th top# but I was hoping I could order the skirt alone and find a top locally. I could not FIND a oyster that matched it close enough so i decided to return the yellow. I also got the green which is a dark green/ligher green #called Malachite). I decided to keep this color and wear it with a fushia, light pink, even a soft yellow or white top......REQUEST....I'd love to see this skirt return in the EXACT fabric in solid colors, black, navy, red, dark gray, burgundy, this could be an all year item if it was a solid color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it's Okay I purchased this skirt thinking that I'd love it and truthfully, it's just okay. It is a very heavy skirt and I was hoping for something lighter. I probably shouldn't have bought the raspberry because it just looks like a candy striper. It is fairly flattering, but I just don't love it.
