Rated 5 out of 5 by Figure flattering! George- you did it again.... great little dress and very figure flattering. I sized up to XS from my usual GS XXS and glad I did. Really like the ruching on the side/waist and the length is perfect. I'm 5'8" and hits me just below the knee cap- perfect with a higher heel pump so dress doesn't appear too short. Please bring more black back in the smaller sizes! I got the stone and would really like in black, too. I keep looking at the raspberry as it's pretty bold/bright looking but so pretty of a color. 09-16-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by Oh My George!!! This dress is perfect!!! It fits well and it is just the right length for mature ladies. I like my dresses sassy but not too sassy. I ordered in pink in my normal medium QVC size. I added a belt to the dress so that it would clinch my stomach area. Give this dress a try!!! 09-11-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice but too big.... This is a very nice dress, attractive style, nice drapey material, but I sized up thinking it would be too clingy but it is a true-to-size fit so now it's too big. And now there is no smaller size available. Oh, well..... But this would look good on just about any shaped woman, very flatter. 08-14-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by I prefer the heaver weighted Knits Size M fit perfectly. However, in the Raspberry color, all my "love handles" showed. Maybe a darker color would have hidden those. I prefer the heaver weighted knits like A216613 and A237763. Hides flaws better. 03-18-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEAUTIFUL! I cannot remember the last time I bought a dress (separates suit me better). But I needed something special--for a change, and took a chance on this dress. It is GORGEOUS. It fits me perfectly, the fabric feels rich, and I love the styling. Best of all, the dress makes me feel quite elegant. 03-05-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by It's about the huge armholes.... This would be a great dress were it not for the oversized armholes. Though my size ranges from XXS to Med., I ordered a L fearing the M for a 38.5" chest, in a clinging, poly knit, might be too snug for my 39" chest. I thought the 41.5" measurement of the L might give me a little extra room without being too big. And, it would have worked....maybe with a tiny tuck along the side seams for my 39" - 31" -39" body....but the size of the armholes is impossible. Once that opening is cut that large, there's little one can do. Now, I've tried on clothes that were too large in a lot of places but usually not the armholes, not to this extent, anyway, so I measured them and compared them with a similar Graver dress in small that fits nicely. Laying the garment flat with the back facing upward, the armhole of the Simonton dress measures 10 3/8" even though their chart seems to say 8.625" for a L, and its circumference is approx. 23 1/4" whereas the Graver dress measures 9" with a circumference of approx. 20". I know our arms swing in the wind after 40 and get larger when we gain weight, but doesn't it take an enormous amount of weight gain elsewhere to increase one's upper arm that much? I mean, the Simonton armhole is 3 1/4" larger. Seriously? I know a young woman who wears a large primarily because she's taller and bigger boned than I, even though it can be said that, proportionately, she weighs less than I. There's no way her upper arm needs an opening 3 1/4" larger than I need. Did I get a lemon...wouldn't be the first time....or was this intentional on the designer's part? Haven't a clue, but, sadly, it has to go back, which raises another issue...the lack of merchandise in other sizes. Does anyone know why they don't arrange for more waitlist options. Some garments sell out so fast, I think many of us get left in the dust, and if we've picked a size that turns out wrong, we're then really out of luck as there are none left in the other sizes. As long as there's a demand, why can't they just place another order with the manufacturer? If the item is well-designed with a timeless quality, any leftover merchandise from having to re-order in bulk would surely sell in time. 02-04-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful and well made I did return this dress because I ordered the wrong size. I should have stuck with my QVC size and I went up according to the size chart. The dress is very nice but I needed something a bit more dressy and it didn't do that much for me..I would recommend this dress, had I ordered the right size I may have kept it. I did reorder a different dress that I'm sure will fit the bill!! Thanks George, keep them coming!!! 02-03-14
