Garmin vivoactive 3 GPS Smart Watch - Slate is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 756.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inaccurate calorie measurement I got this watch a few days ago, it’s visually appealing and comfortable, however I am not happy about the extent of how inaccurate the calorie counter is. I was charging it and it told me I burned 25 calories, it wasn’t even on my wrist. Last night, with sleep only, it’s trying to say I burned 732 calories. This is not accurate at all. Yes, I understand you burn calories when you sleep, standard equation is 0.42 x body weight x hours slept. It should be around 450, not 732. This is just an example of how much the watch over estimates calories burned. I am most likely going to return it. Also, the weather rarely shows up, even though my Bluetooth is on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted Bought this for motivation to workout. I wanted the workout and heart rate features. I’ve enjoyed it a lot and I like pairing it with my phone to get notifications when I’m at work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vivoactive 3 Critique--Positives and Other Overall, I am very pleased with the Vivoactive 3. I love that it covers all the sports I enjoy: running, treadmill running, biking, indoor biking, snowboarding, skiing and golf are my regulars. I also love the heartrate monitor, step monitor and the "move" alarm which reminds me to step away from the desk. Was disappointed by the watchband---my wrists are over 195mm and the band only goes to 204mm, so I had to buy an after-market band to allow for comfortable wear---I was on the last hole when putting on the watch, and it felt that the watch would fall off if I swung my arms playing golf. I had to print out the instruction manual as I didn't find the features to be intuitive---but the instruction manual is well-written so could navigate the watch once I printed the manual. Snowboarding app works well overall, although I had a few times that the auto-run feature didn't seem to work correctly---did one run, the watch paused and should have auto-started again on the next run but didn't. It may have been operator error as I'm still learning the functions. Again, very pleased and the watch is definitely worth the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs improvement Do t know where to begin with my dissatisfaction - screen is not clear; unable to keep data screens locked, can’t measure my SpO2; no tennis feature, and way too complicated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good features but could be better I have had mine for about a year an just bought one for my wife. It had Good features on the watch that makes it a good all rounder, wish it had open water swim however the other category is a good work around. the altimeter is wast of time and 99% doesn’t work, due to its location on the back of the watch which gets claged up with sweat. It would be good to have the ability to turn the altimeter off during an activity and use gps for altitude as i is more reliable on this watch. In general Also the lack of ability to change settings on the watch is surprisingly lacking considering it is a smart watch, my 220 was better. Although the changeable watch band is a good idea the clip setup is week and I have had it fall off during a swim event, I would prefer the bolt through design that was on the earlier garmins like the 220 which was easy enough to change but more reliable. My biggest gripe with the watch is that it looses connection with the Garmin app frequently and having to manually connect the watch, very frustrating especially when driving. I know a lot of Garmin users that have the same connection issues and have contacted Garmin and was unable to resolve this issue. Final thoughts is not a bad watch but could be great with a few simple changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and sleek look I bought this watch two weeks ago, and I'm so happy that I did. My list of pros is as follows: 1) sleek design; 2) provides accurate metrics; 3) amazing battery life; 4) tons of awesome features; 5) great value. My only two cons are that the watch cannot store music, and that the one-button operation is not ideal.
