This is an easy twist on mashed potatoes that will leave your guests OooOOooo-ing and AAAaaahhhh-ing at the dinner table.
5 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and boiled
1 stick salted butter
1 cup sour cream
1 cup half & half
2 Tbsp garlic paste
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Put the peeled and boiled potatoes in a bowl. Using a hand mixer, begin whipping the potatoes by adding butter, sour cream, and half & half. Continue whipping, then add garlic paste and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer to a 9" x 11" baking pan and bake 30 minutes. Remove when top layer is browned and has formed a slight crust.
