Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely boots, for narrow feet They’re pretty but run extremely narrow so I’m sending them back. I’ve recently purchased 3 pairs of Frye boots and only one pair was wide enough for my medium foot! Their boots are very nice quality but don’t fit people like me with a medium size in width foot. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Dream Come True I am a size 10m and these fit perfectly. They were tough to get on, but, standing up pushing my foot down, while my husband pulled them up, I worked my foot into them. There is arch support. Beautifully made, iconic American style that I'm going to wear a lot! I would recommend that you get your true size. Also, I bought the color smoke which is very nice and versatile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! Definitely narrow. When I first started looking at these I was surprised by the wide range of comments concerning size and fit. I wanted them badly and decided to go with my actual size, 10, because the recommendations were all over the place. I received the tan boots and they went on easily. They were way too big and the tan was a flat, dry, ugly color (IMHO). Those went back. I could tell these boots are narrow, very foot form-fitting, there's no room for much of an instep and the heel slips. I ordered the 9.5 in dark brown. I like this color much better. It's a softer, smoother more supple leather (still stiff though for the most part). The dark brown is a much prettier and nicer color for my taste. Now the fit - The 9.5 went on pretty easily, even though the left foot was more of a challenge. My left foot, hand etc. are slightly larger than the right side. I have narrow feet with almost no instep. The way these boots feel on me I can't imagine anyone with wide feet and/or a high instep even getting them on in the correct size. I think these would be quite painful for anyone with that type of foot. I recommend ordering a "wide" or even a different style for wide feet and/or a high instep, just not worth the pain. Back to me. These 9.5's fit perfectly in length and width. That leaves the heel slippage as the last issue. I did way too much reading about these boots and learned many things. Firstly, heel slippage is necessary to even get the boot on, without it, putting the boot on would be impossible. Ok, so I need to live with some heel slippage. Secondly, and to my surprise, I read that much of the heel slippage will diminish over time and long wear. This sounds wrong, but the explanation makes some sense. When you wear the boot over time, especially barefoot with nice warm feet, your foot sinks into the heal and the more pliable ankle-leather envelopes your foot and thus reduces slippage. I wore these around the house for a few days with bare feet and this unexpected magic started to happen. It sounds weird, but it's true. The heel slippage won't totally go away, but if you have the right size and wear them enough, the boots will conform to your feet quite a bit. I also recommend looking at other on-line vendors for better price and return options. Even better would be trying the boots on in various sizes in a brick-n-mortar venue. Good luck on your own Frye boots journey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot I gave this boot five stars. However, I did have to send mine back. I have a wider foot and typically get wide shoes. I thought that, with the square toe box, I might be able to wear these. I do have an issue with my left foot swelling but I wanted to try this boot because I have loved it for so long. I was able to get the right boot on just by working it on slowly. It does fit snugly but felt very good once I got it on. The bad news is that I never was able to get the left boot on. Therefore, I had to return them. I have sent in three questions as to whether these would be restocked as the sizes are very limited and I want to order a larger size. NONE of my three questions have ever been answered so I don't know if I will be able to reorder or not. Keeping my fingers crossed. This is a great looking boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 1st Frye BOOTS I ordered a size 10 which is my normal size, I just got them today, took them out of the box, slid them on with a little struggle but once on they fit like a dream, probably the most comfortable boots I've worn in my life!! I highly recommend these boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these! Runs true to size for a Frye boot. I usually purchase a size 7.5 in all my shoes and Frye boots too. These are a tad narrow at first but will stretch with wear like my others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Boot! I just love this boot! I wore my reg shoe size there is a slip in the heel that you NEED in order to get the pull on boot off and on. I see people saying the heel is wide but you need that to pull on the boot. I bought these years ago and had a 1/2 size smaller and regret getting them because they were so hard to get off and on and they don’t really stretch out. Now that I have my regular size they are perfect!
