Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG So amazing, spectacular and all the colors of the rainbow. I finally got my perfect birthstone opal. Was not wowed by any opals until this ring. I feel so bad for the others that got bad opals. You have now idea what you have missed out on. This ring looks like it cost thousands. The diamonds are not the star but adds to the prestige. I added two gold bands to hold the ring in place and it makes ring look more substantial.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty but not for me I was really on the fence with this ring. Opal is my birthstone and I've been looking at this ring for a while now. When it went on sale, I decided to get it. The opal is very yellow and pale. I just didn't like it. The setting is lovely and if the opal had more blues and fire, I would keep it in a heartbeat. But for $300, no.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ethiopian opal and diamond ring I just adore my ring, so much that I also purchased one for my daughter as a graduation present. Both opals were gorgeous with a lot of life and fire, depending on the natural or artificial lighting. I do not want to take the ring off!! One of my best purchases ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Ring--A Must Buy This ring is my favorite of all the rings I possess. It is unspeakably beautiful. I was fortunate enough to get it in a size 9 after that size and most of the others sold out. I just kept checking back. That size just reappeared, and I bought it. I wear it every day. The price is so reasonable, too, for what you get. I highly recommend it, if you can get it. You won't be sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Opal ring Got this ring and was very excited to see how attractive it was however on close I soecrio b the opal has a large chunk missing right in the middle. Had to return it the day I got it. Will try again with a new one. Just hope the stone is intact. Worries me a little on how fragile this opal may be. I know opals are soft stones. We shall see how this one goes

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Received today. Despite reading some poor reviews, I ordered it anyway. The ring had litte of the beautiful sparkle as seen on tv. I gave it a 3 because it is a nice looking ring otherwise, comfortable on the finger and I like the style. Just not pleased with the opal. Sending back tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! This ring is beautiful in design and execution. The rope designed shoulders of the ring, the petite halo of diamonds and the gorgeous opal go together flawlessly. As an artist I really appreciate the beautiful composition of this ring. It is too bad some got a stone without good color because the stone I got is awesome-it is full of color even in low light. I think you have to understand this is an Ethiopian opal, not an Australian opal. The two are very different. I you want the tiny flecks of color throughout the stone you want the Australian. The Ethiopian opal has more subtle flashes of color that change as you move your hand. It is just a wonderful, perfectly put together ring.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Really wanted to like this ring. Got it since it was my daughters birthstone. A couple of Cons- the diamonds were so hard to see and the little you could see seemed dull and lifeless. The opal color was lacking in color. Only had hints of orange and red in mine. Put it in different lighting to make sure. Pros- the actual opal size is nice. Equivalent of a 3-4 carat oval stone. Overall, not worth the sale price and definitely not worth the original price. Sorry just disappointed.
