Rated 5 out of 5 by Grace momma Awesome pan
Haven't used cast iron since childhood. This pan is fantastic. I washed and seasoned it before using even though it's already seasoned. After each use I wash it with hot water and scrub brush towel dry then heat on medium burner for 5 minute or so to make sure completely dry. Then rub on some red palm oil or tallo let cool then store with paper towel in it to absorb moisture so it does not rust. If you use it properly you will love it. My food never tasted better . I am hooked on cast iron . Thank you Emeril and qvc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GGREER Awesome skillet !
I received this skillet and was amazed when I opened the box. It is a very heavyweight and of good quality. It is already pre seasoned but I did do it again. It gives instructions if you want to do it. There is nothing like cooking in cast iron. I am very pleased with it and plan on getting more for my two daughters. I have purchased several things from Emeril and love everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EastCoastViewer Just Like Grandma's
When this skillet arrived, I thought the box was lighter than expected and then I took it out the box and was disheartened by the grayish color. This was not like my Grandma’s skillet. I followed instructions in box and enhanced it bit more remembering my Grandma’s care for her skillet. I first washed it with a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of dish detergent. Placed in 300 degree oven for 45 minutes. Then I took it out and coated with CRISCO, on sides and bottom and left a ¼ inch layer of Crisco on bottom and placed back into a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. I took it out and recoated the skillet with the melted Crisco on bottom with a pastry brush and placed back into the oven for an additional 30 minutes. Now, I have a perfectly black and weighted skillet just like my Grandma’s. I fried chicken with this today and it came out perfectly. Last year, I purchased a Lodge cast iron skillet from Wegman’s that never felt, looked or performed quite right. My Lodge never seasoned as well. Emeril’s is better. I purchased Emeril’s 10inch too. I have hard-anodized, stainless steel, non-stick enamel and even copper and nothing cooks better than cast iron. I highly recommend.
