Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best The desktop cooker is one of the best warming pots I have ever owned. I am always on the road at different locations so take out is very difficult to find a good place to get a hot lunch that is not over processed. I put prepared meals in it the night before. I plug it in my inverter in my truck and by lunch time my meal is steaming hot.... I have 4 of them one for me and my daughter every day and 2 spares.... :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for on the go! I gave it a 4 star for the simple fact that it states it is a cooker, It's not. It's a simple "Plug n' Play" as they say. You can use it to reheat or keep warm your already prepared food. I got it for my hubby to take with him on trips and to the office. It has worked perfectly for keeping his meals hot. I would not recommend cooking in it as it does not get hot enough to actually cook the food.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Idea in Theory, Requires MUCH Patience I use this little cooker for a few different functions: sauces, hot dips, and simmer potpourri recipes. I do like that it keeps sauces and hot dips (like cheese) warm without burning them or creating a build up of overcooked gunk on the bottom of the pot. However, plan ahead because it can take an hour for this little cooker to finally reach a temperature that is a little more than warm and also keep the contents that perfect temperature for eating. You cannot cook foods (like meat) from a raw state in this, it is strictly for keeping warm or warming up. But like I said, plan ahead. As far as the steam function, it's not worth it. It takes forever. And I mean forever to steam something, especially from frozen. You're better off throwing it in the microwave. When I make simmer potpourri mixtures, this little cooker heats them up well and I can keep them on for hours. No matter what you use this for, you must have patience. There are no settings or adjustments and it does take a long time to reach that perfect temperature. But if you are a patient person, then this will be just fine for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great little pot. I bought 5 of them now and are giving them to people that may not be able to use a stove, like in assisted living places, but still want to heat up food. It's so easy to handle, easy to clean and very helpful to some folks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with portable cooker I was not thrilled with this little cooker. I tried to steam vegetables in it and it would have taken me forever. Maybe if you have several hours to cook something, it would be great. I loved the size and had gotten several to give as Christmas gifts to all the ladies in my family. However, I am going to send them back. The price was great and thought I was lucky to find something so cute and useful for the girls. But, guess I will have to keep looking for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooker?? I'm not sure if it's appropriate to call this a cooker as much as it is a warmer. It goes to 160 deg and stays there. Great for taking your lunch to work and putting it in this "cooker/warmer" a couple of hours before lunch time and having a nice hot lunch sitting there waiting for you. Come on..... It even has a Stainless Steel insert. Nests down into a small container with its removable cord. I've used it for warming sausage and peppers and even tenderloins. Little steamer insert is really handy too or even to just separate your goodies. Looks like a few people don't understand that it won't really cook things even though it looks like a rice cooker.
