Description
Lightweight and balanced, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer reinvents this beauty basic, putting a digital motor in the handle to produce a controlled, high-velocity airflow for ultra-fast drying power. A microprocessor with intelligent heat control helps prevent extreme heat damage, while the magnetic attachments let you smooth, style, and diffuse with ease. From Dyson.

For best results, use an attachment and dry with the airflow blowing down over hair strands, not perpendicular, to help achieve smooth and soft results. Additionally, because of ultra-fast drying, be mindful of over-drying your hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dryer I am a hairstylist. I have purchased many many blowsryers over the years and I must say I love this dryer. It’s got nice balance and heat and blower selections. It is very powerful and I think it dries hair quicker and with less frizz that other dryers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too heavy, and way too expensive On QVC TV, the women are mostly just drying their hair, not styling. When their hair is dry, it just hangs, with no style. I wanted a lightweight, fast-styling dryer to use with my round brush. The Dyson was a big disappointment. It weighs about 2 pounds (ouch, my shoulder!), saved me a big TWO MINUTES in styling, and couldn’t produce height or volume. The 9-ft. cord was so heavy, I had to hold it between my knees to keep it from pulling the dryer down. The little rubber mat for resting the dryer on kept blowing off the table, and the attachments were a pain to keep changing and turning. If you have really thick, frizzy hair, and all you want is to get it dry, and you don’t mind spending $400 (plus tax) to save two minutes, try the Dyson. I tried mine three times and sent it right back ($8.95 for shipping). I just don’t get all the rave reviews, but to each her own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny, Powerful, and Worth The Cost I have wavy and thick hair. Even when it's cut chin length, it will still take forever to dry. I've been using the Aquis hair towels for years & they definitely help cut down on drying time. Pair it with the Dyson hair dryer, and my hair is dry & styled in less than 10 minutes - and that's on the lowest heat & speed settings. The magnetic attachments are a smart move. Plus it's lightweight and has a small profile even with the attachments. The carrybag is nicely made, and I do use the mat as it keeps the dryer from rolling off the table. Definitely worth the investment if you have thick hair or hair that takes a long time to dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs Improvement! As a reviewer stated, no one mentioned in the presentation that dryer has an industrial size cord with an awkward power pack, or I would not have bought it. I also found that the storage bag is too small for the dryer (due to the bulky cord), which is a disappointment considering the dryer is so expensive. I did like the magnetic attachments however.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs To Be Cordless Very powerful but very heavy. Only way this dryer could be light weight would be to make it cordless. Sending back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed No one mentioned in the presentation this dryer has an industrial size, heavy cord and is very awkward. The dryer looks small and lightweight but is actually heavy and looks like an eyesore with cord I can see why free shipping was included - it will cost a lot to return but I did not like at all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised When my daughter bought this, I thought she had lost her mind paying this kind of money for a hair dryer! I used it shortly after she got it and I can’t believe the difference.... I use her Dyson and my hair dries faster and looks healthier. I had to use mine yesterday because she is away and took the Dyson with her and my hair looked fried after....guess who’s ordering the insane hair dryer.... yep that would be me!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What? I own the T3, and get regular blow outs. It's every woman's dream to do a perfect blow out at home, so had to get this dryer. WHAT is with the vacuum style cord? The hosts all boast about how lightweight the dryer is, (true) but the cord is heavy! As in heavier than the dryer- and the cord makes it cumbersome, and not easy to navigate. it's power pack or battery is halfway down this industrial looking cord. BAD, heavy, and misleading. Redesign that problem, and I may repurchase. In the meantime, I have to pay 8 bucks for the return.
