Duraflame Portable Electric Heater with Remote Control & Timer is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this heater Features I like: high end looking wood colors, small footprint, versatile placement, warms room quicker than others, remote, eco option, and most of all QUIET!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t do it I really loved this when I first got it. It heat up the room, it did make some clicking noises every now and then but it seemed to work great. Fast forward a couple weeks, one day the lamp got really bright, I thought it was going to start a fire it was so bright. Then the light just went out. There is no longer any light or heat when I turn it on, just blows cold air. This thing is so defective, I would advise anyone to run from their product and shun this brand for all eternity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two design flaws this is a nice heavy duty model from Duraflame. It heats the room up quickly. It is designed to lay flat or put on its side depending on where/how you place it. There are two reasons I would not recommend it to you and I should’ve returned it to QVC. First, The controls are on one side of the unit. So unless that side is facing you you can’t use the remote to control it. So if you’re laying it flat or have the unit angled in such a way you won’t be able to control it with the remote control which is crazy. The controls should have been on the front of the unit then it would work in whatever position you have it. Second, there’s no handle so if you need to lift it or move it in someway then you have to pick the whole unit up. Very inconvenient. Some kind of a grip/handle could’ve been placed on the back to the unit so it be easier to pick up and move. It’s not that it is heavy it is just inconvenient to slide your fingers underneath it and pick it up and you have to use two hands when you’re holding it. In my climate I don’t need to use it every day so I want to pick it up and move it to the closet when I’m not using it but that is really awkward.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok It’s a heater and it does heat. It is loud and constantly cycles/clicks on and off, which is annoying when your trying to sleep. It’s hard to tell if it turned on because there is a delay for it to start up after you push the button either on the unit or on the remote. Same thing when you turn it off. It runs for like 10 minutes after you try to turn it off. I can never leave until I wait to be sure it actually turned off. The timer works, but I can’t really tell if the “green leaf” energy saver does anything at all. Some times the blower just blows air that’s not warm or cold it feels room temperature, not really sure what that’s about. I like the box shape and the ability to turn it on it’s side to put on a shelf and for more options where to put it without it obviously looking like a heater. The wood-like cabinet is nice. In the end I think I should have returned it, but I waited too long. That being said, I will still use it since I own it now. It might be better for a rec-room, finished basement, home office, or play room, but I would pass on it for a bedroom. I feel it was not a great value for the price. It maybe should have been about $40.00-$50.00.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great heater that doesn’t take up a lot of room The kitchen in my new house is drafty and I wanted a small heater that I could sit next to a cabinet. This is perfect. Warms me up in a hurry and doesnt take up much room because I can stand it on its side. Nice wood housing. The remote is pretty much non functional but I don’t really mind because it can be controlled from the panel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So hot plastic melting I have several Duraflame heaters. This one has caused me several issues. The controls of shutting off, temp control, or timer have not worked well. I thought user error. Today I put the timer on for a hour. It didn't shut off. The machine got hotter and plastic was melting. The smell was awful. I usually set for 70 degrees. It was way past that! This is past sending back but will call company to try and replace. Not sure if they will but worth a try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from miss information thisunit looks good that is why I gave it two stars. when you use the remote to turn it on or off you have to be standing with in 4 feet of the unit. they said on qvc it will heat up to 1000 ft of space. I had the unit set to 8o degrees and when it got to 69 degrees it shut itself off. I am trying to heat a room less then 400 feet and it never gets up to set temperature. glad I saved the packaging so I can return this to qvc next week

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It I'm blown away with the heater. It heats a large area in little time. I got it yesterday and was peeling my sweater off in 5 minutes. It's a little power house and I did t find it to be too loud. It has a remote control which is great. To address a previous reviewer, the heater does a cool down cycle after you turn it off. Just wait a minute. Everything people complain about is right there in the instructions. Read it.
