What is it: A supercharged hydrating serum that locks in moisture to drastically reduce the look of dry lines and wrinkles. It intensely moisturizes skin for a soft, supple, luminous, more youthful look.

Who is it for: Suitable for any skin types from dry to normal. If your skin is oily, place it only around the eyes and neck and on dry patches--not on the oily T-zone. Hydroshield is remarkably effective for skins with dry lines and wrinkles, as it locks in hydration to recreate the youthful look you once had.

Why is it different: Hydroshield is based on Dr. Denese's unique and proprietary HydroShield technology, founded on years of medical research. Loaded with ceramides, soy, vitamin E, retinol, linoleic acids, EFA, and glycolipids, it supports the skin lipid barrier, often undermined by cold weather, air conditioning, dry heat, dry climates, and other environmental stressors. Moisture is locked in, helping to remarkably improve the appearance of dry lines and wrinkles.

How do I use it: In the morning and evening, apply Ultra Moisturizing HydroShield serum to your entire face after cleansing and before using creams. Let the serum penetrate for five to seven minutes, until it turns matte.

Apply in the morning under your SPF 30 Defense Day cream, not included. At night, apply after using Advanced Firming Facial Pads, not included. Follow with your night time moisturizer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ingredient disappointment I'd been using this serum for a long time and, then used followup Denese creams. I'm not sure how I missed this, but the prevalent ingredient is dimethicone. This is a chemical that does no favors to your skin. It's what gives "slip" to to the serum (among other things). That means that the primary ingredient makes us think/feel that it's good for the skin - NOT. Over time, dimethicone is a drying agent. My face eventually erupted with bumps that would not go away. And, no I wasn't using too much product. There are now so, so many products that don't use chemicals. They provide responsibly obtained natural and/or organic ingredients that actually do make your skin its best. Unfortunately, they are and need to be produced in small batches (unlike chemical serums) and are somewhat pricey. However, I for one think that my one and only face is worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Used to be better I am not sure if the formula has changed on this product or not. I have been using this serum since 2009 and the last few bottles smell rancid after a few weeks of use. I am still happy with how the product works, but it is really hard to apply this to my face with the horrible smell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Read The Ingredients, People! #1 ingredient in this product- dimethicone. And apparently a lot of it, as that what gives this its oily texture. Guess what else has dimethicone as its #1 ingredient? Rid lice treatment. Wouldn’t put that on my face......

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken stopper plus duplicate product repackaged I thought this item was something new when in fact Dr Denese has been selling it for years in that tall opaque airless pump. Why it was repackaged in a clear bottle is a mystery. It is absolutely identical to what I already own word for word and in feel and consistency. Very disappointed on so many levels but I will leave it at this.....it's going right back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magic in a Bottle This serum feels a bit like oil at first, but glides and spreads on easily. I use it every where on my face and even take it down my neck and chest. Drys to a matte finish in about 2 minutes. I'm a true believer in using this product, and use twice a day. One of my Holy Grail Dr Denese items. Highly recommend. I always have a least one back up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! You Don't Look 70! I am 70! No wrinkles. I hear that quite often. My daughter moved to Colorado. They get 300 days sunshine a year. Her skin was not looking good. Her Dermatologist said, "Do something"! She did. She called me boo hooing. I sent her Dr Denise products. Move forward, she goes back to the Dr. Dr says, "Wow! What ever you're doing...keep it up! Your skin is looking great!" Now I'm responsible for supplying the Dr Denise. I don't mind...she's worth it. Ha!l

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot Say Enough! Like almost everyone who has reviewed this serum from Dr. Denese, I love it, and it is worth the price. On me, after it dries matte, it acts like a primer! My day cream goes on so smoothly, and I definitely don't need as much of it. I've tried other drugstore brands that cost less, but they don't seem to affect below the surface of my skin. I believe the price is worth it for a product this good, that does exactly what it says it will do. Also, it lasts and lasts if I'm careful with the dropper on a new bottle. As I'm getting older, products by Dr. Denese are what I will turn to again and again. Thank you for a product like this!
