Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Ring Ever! THE SKINNY: If you’re on the fence about this ring because it doesn’t have many pictures, hardly any reviews and no video, I was too. But let me assure you, it’s a good purchase. It feels very Carrie Bradshaw to me. And if, for some crazy reason, this gorgeous piece doesn’t float your boat as much as it did mine, you can always send it back! QVC is great that way! THE BREAKDOWN: Okay, so this isn’t my first piece of Diamonique, but this is my favorite! I lost my original wedding set after 16 years of responsibly keeping up with it. I’m still hoping it will show up someday. However, until it does, this is the bling engagement part of my wedding set. Honestly, I was heartbroken when I first lost my original set. It’s such a sentimental set, that can’t just be replaced with any old piece. The replacement has to be some kind of special. This ring is that some kind of special stunner that sparkles so bright it has helped me not feel so lost or naked without my original wedding set. The best warning I can heed for you is to drive carefully. I literally ran off the road staring at this super crisp cut bottomless stone. The Asscher cut is decadently understated Art Deco resiniscent while still hitting all the essential style attributes I was looking for; classy solitaire style, radiant white reflecting Diamonique, sleek and modern, yet vintage at the same time, quality 14k gold and size relavent to the overall look of the piece and on my hand. I chose the white gold, which I love. This isn’t so classically solitaire that it can’t be worn as a right hand ring. It would be stunning as “passed down from my family” right hand look. Even though it’s a larger carat weight, the size of the solitaire and side stones aren’t overwhelming in the least. It’s not at all gaudy and looks real in a way I haven’t seen from Diamonique before. It’s great when a CZ sparkles and stays sparkly forever. Sparkly in Diamonique is a given. However, most CZ stones reflect a rainbow of colors, unlike a real diamond, which only reflects white light. This magical Asscher cut only reflects that diamond white light, adding hugely to the believability factor. The trillion side stones make this ring evenly weighted, keeping it from always flopping around my finger like some top heavy solitaires can do. The evened weight/lack of spinning feature is especially magnificent considering the thinness of the band. The thinner band lays flat, which is one of the reasons I chose this one. Well, that and also because it’s so crazy comfortable. I can’t even feel it when it’s on. The prongs are very secure and smooth. They don’t get caught on clothes or scratch my kids. I tried to get a profile shot of them, but it’s a bit blurry. I’ve stacked it both with Erin’s infinity ring and the curved band that goes with another set I like as my wedding band(s). (The curved band set recommended below is what I would have kept if real gold wasn’t in my budget. It’s a great set as well.) For reference, I wear a size 8. I think this ring might run 1/4 size large, like all QVC rings seem to on me. It could also feel larger because the band is very thin, but still sturdy. It doesn’t feel like it will bend or anything. My hands are swollen here, which makes it look like it runs small, but it doesn’t.
