Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dressy pants Nice fit and nice straight leg - I already had leggings and didn't need that kind of fit. This style works fine with a dressy top. Have gotten numerous compliments. The fabric isn't cheap or chintzy - the equal to the quality I've gotten from well-known brick and mortar retailers. And I had no problem with static.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great pants that run large. Material and color are great but the item runs very large. I will need to take it to a tailor in order to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NICE SLIM FITTING PANTS - TRUE TO SIZE I wasn't sure of the sizing on these and I didn't want them to be skintight, so I purchased my regular size and a size up. My regular plus size fit well even with some room. Pockets lie flat without bulk. The length was just about enough for my 5'9" legs, coming to just above the ankle. My pants in black had no static. I would call these more of a velveteen than a regular thick velvet. They have a nap which means they feel smooth in one direction and rougher when going against the pile. I have regular boot cut velvet pants, but I wanted something lighter and slimmer to go with my recent purchase of Iris Apfel's new beaded and embellished velvet coat (spectacular!). These are perfect with the coat. Overall, I am pleased with these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Me I purchased these in black large, my usual size and they fit perfectly. I did not have the static problem noted by other reviewers. I am 5 ' 5" and the inseam is fine. Perfect with my Bob Macke red Christmas sweater and kitten heels. I went back for the wine to pair with an ivory lace top. I would prefer no pockets, but these pockets lay flat under my sweater.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! First the material is full of static and I mean A lot. The feel is not soft like velvet should be in fact it's ruff. There is a slight shininess to it that makes it look very cheap! Plus it looks nothing like the style on line and TV. It's more of a full leg pant. The reason I ordered was because the style looked to be more of a tapered leg. It was NOT! Plus they ran huge. I would have had to exchange to a smaller size. These pants are terrible. I can not find anything good to say about them! I returned!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why Pockets? Two stars for the beautiful material and fit of these pants...the pockets ruin them. If you have a shape and hips the pockets stick out...back they go unfortunately! These are the first pair of velvet pants where the color does not come off on your hands like other velvet pants from other designers. PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE THESE WITHOUT POCKETS!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Static is Terrible The fabric has a pretty appearance but does not feel soft. The bigger problem is that any top I put on over the pants clings to it from the static the fabric generates. Have to send it back!
