Rated 4 out of 5 by from exquisite but BIG This jacket is stunning. The embroidery is exquisite, the fabric beautiful. But the sizing....who let this pass inspection? I wear a size 8 and because of the reviews that said it was big I decided to get the 6 and was concerned it may be too small. LOL the 6 looks like a large 10. It is so beautiful that I don't want to return it because there are no 4's available. Will wear it with a bulky white sweater. Please know that this is not just a little big it is really really 2 sizes too big. Wish Dennis would bring this back re sized. It is my first Dennis Basso piece and because of the quality and design I am impressed but will not believe sizing in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Jacket! I ordered this to wear at my son’s rehearsal dinner with black slacks and I received so many compliments. I always have to shorten sleeves so that is a given. It is well made and fully lined. Don’t hesitate to order it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful embroidery, proportions off for my shape Bought the black in size 16. I’m usually an 18 or XL in QVC sizing and 18/20 or 1X in brick and mortar stores, but I know the Basso line usually runs large for me. Jacket in 16 fit my plus size, busty fisique nicely (closed perfectly/not too tight), but the length of the jacket was too short and the sleeves were way too long and wide for my curvy shape. If the jacket was 2-3 inches (or more) longer it might have worked with getting the sleeves altered, but altering the sleeves would have also changed the embroidery design. Also felt this ran boxy and could have used some darts or bust seems for shape- in the front or back or both. I kind of looked like a linebacker in it. For reference I’m about 5’ 2”. This is a beautiful, well made, jacket, but all wrong for my shape so I sadly had to return it. I think if you are tall, slim, with broad shoulders, small to medium bust, but more straight up and down through the torso and have long arms this jacket might work for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can't Wear Dennis Basso Clothes This is my third or fourth order of Dennis Basso clothing and my last try. I think he is a great designer, BUT I am not able to wear any of his clothing. This is a great embroidered jacket. I really like it, but like with all Dennis Basso clothing, I am not anything close to a fit model for him. First I am a petite. Second I am plus size on the bottom. In QVC fit on the bottom I am an 18W; elsewhere a 20W sometimes, just depends. I am not small in the bust area, 38DDD, but narrow shoulders. My shoulders are a size 12, I had hoped this jacket would run narrow in the shoulders, but no such luck. This jacket is huge from the waist up. I got the XL to accommodate my hips. The arm holes for the sleeves are more than half way to my waist. I look silly. I don't understand clothing that gets longer with each size up. This includes the arm holes. I don't get taller, why do designers make the clothing longer. Wider means longer? Really? What is the rationale in that? One of the few, who I miss greatly, because her clothing line is nothing like what she designed when she was alive, is Joan Rivers. She got it. If a jacket length was 25 inches it was that length no matter the size unless she did regulars and petites, which she did on a number of her jackets. Bob Mackie used to hold his lengths, but not anymore. So, a great jacket if you have wide shoulders and large breasts plus very long arms as the sleeves are way too long as well. If you do, yes, get this jacket. If not, plan on spending, which I will not do, about $75 to $100 on alterations to make it fit. So, back go these great jackets. I got two colors the black and navy. If you have the body type I speak of, go for it, otherwise I don't recommend this jacket. Sorry Dennis.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Returned - Sleeves Are Way Too Long Ordered this jacked in black in my usual XL size. It fit great, with the exception of the sleeves. They hung down to my knuckles. Unfortunately, they cannot be folded back, as the lining will show, and that look is not good. I wish that designers who created long sleeved jackets would face the inside of the sleeve opening with fabric that matched the outside of the sleeve. Then those of us with shorter arms could fold the sleeve back an inch or two and see a nice matching lining. My favorite jackets are designed this way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sleeves way too long I love Dennis Basso clothing and throws. I love the look and material of this jacket. I do not have short arms but on the long size. Received this jacket today. Love the material and the design. However, the sleeves are incredibly long and the embroidery on the arms makes it impossible to alter without ruining the design. I have never purchased an item where the sleeves were too long so I do not understand why this is the case. Sadly, I need to return it and do not like paying to return something that clearly does not have measurements that are normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Find! I was searching all over for a great holiday jacket that had some kick to it. This is it! Got the 10 in black, and it works as a casual, fun, eye-catching look that would be great with a black skirt & heels at an after-work holiday cocktail party. Or for a relaxed happy hour evening with friends .... I was too late to grab the size 8, which I figured would give a more sleek and cropped "toreador" vibe. But either look is OK by me. (If it helps others in sizing, I'm usually a small in QVC sizes). This is my favorite purchase of the season. I appreciate it because it has kick and sass, but it's not flouncy. This is refined and restrained but still lots of fun.
