Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced old 17" with new one This purchase is to replace an old 17" Inspiron that crashed after some 7 years of good service. The new one seems just as solid, so I hope to get similar use from it. I really like the backlit keyboard when the room lights are dimmed. The keyboard keys feel right - solid, but I can tell when each one has actually been depressed. so far, I really like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do waste your time shopping elsewhere. This a great product! This is my 3rd product from Dell, starting in about 2002 with a 40GB Desktop/tower machine. Wow, things have come along way since then. This unit rocks and is exactly what I expected from Dell. It has more than enough performance for anyone other than maybe extreme gamers. I hadn't shopped for a laptop in several years because my current 7 year old Dell laptop is still working just fine but I wanted a larger screen. I wasn't set on purchasing another Dell but after weeks of comparisons I found it seems most of the other brands take out features or performance to be at lower price and I seemed to find when you compare apples to apples those other brands are priced much higher. So again I purchased a Dell and I am glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Machine I like that the keyboard lights up when I wake it from sleep. Otherwise, you would not know that is was responding to the power button. I got this at Costco, came home and ran lots of updates. There were 2 Dell BIOS updates, but they went perfectly and fast. Do the updates, you will not regret it. You will not be ready to roll for a couple of days. The Win10 Pro system recognized my HP network printer and installed and printed with no input on my part, so I had to uninstall and re-install to get it right. This was not Dell's fault, Win10 was the culprit. This computer is fast to boot, even lacking the SSD. I like it.
