Rated 1 out of 5 by from Computer is suppose to have 3.4 ghz and only has 1.8 This computer does not have the speed I bought. I paid extra to get a faster system and was ripped off! Nothing in the read when buying this system tells one 'we advertise 3.4 but only give you 1.8ghz!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected! I really don't know where to start; I purchased this laptop for school, so, I guess this is where I'll begin. Potential shoppers that may be buying this for college SHY AWAY FROM THIS COMPUTER!!! You waste more time trying to get it to run than you will in your homework. Initially, it ran fine and when updated it begin dragging, freezing, crashing, etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not off to a good start Just got this laptop. Upon startup, it goes to a dark screen for 7-9 minutes before going to the desktop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from initial setup The first time I turned on, the setup began. I did not complete before having to leave computer until the next day. I didn't get to finish the process as it was not there when I returned and I couldn't find it to open up. (unless I was finished and didn't realize it) Anyway, not sure what I may have missed and I have absolutely no clue as to how to transfer data from my old 2009 Dell (windows 7) to my new Dell. Just bought a usb to usb and will attempt to transfer. Instructions would have been helpful. Thanks. ccj

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series - 5770 I purchased the above Dell Model direct from the manufacturer in Nov. 2018. Whilst I am by no means a competent techy, this model suits my purpose fully. With the Microsoft Office installed, I have yet to utilise the full potential of this laptop. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Dell model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inspiron 5770 I bought this laptop for medium duty use. It gets the jobs done with the added Optane. The Core i3 8th Gen is like the old Core i5 or i7 back in the day, so don't worry about that too much for medium use in regards to speed. You'll be impressed! The only downturn is the graphics card. While the card is good for general use, it may not be able to handle SOME medium tasks with proper quality/performance ratio, but it gets the job done and it works. It may be lacking some updates with Direct X (Software that boosts visual quality etc) where it's concerned, as it's been only a week since acquiring this laptop, so I may be wrong where this is concerned (because any computer you buy you may have to update these items to boost optimum performance). If you just wanna watch movies or any of that it's a great choice! I thought about switching it out for my purposes but changed my mind because overall performance is definitely satisfactory. Don't be afraid to try it.
