DeLonghi Eletta Cappuccino Top with Latte CremaSystem is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I really wanted to love it I’ve had this machine a couple weeks and I really wanted to love it. It is beautiful, comes with the milk carafe, makes a great shot of espresso, and the regular steam wand works amazing. Once I was able to get the right grind for a good shot of espresso, I played around with the latte and cappuccino settings. I loved it! It makes a great foamed milk, soy milk, breve, etc. The mycoffee setting is great to get the right size for your cup, and I LOVE the fact that you can set your strength (I love the short brew extra strong.) Where this machine fails is its actual shots of espresso, which are actually good..when it works. When I hit a single or double shot it acts like it is going to start for a second, then says “please wait,” then rolls through the emptying the cup, release the pressure, etc settings. It seems to think it has brewed the coffee because in the settings it increases the amount of coffee brewed, and says to empty the brew basket prior to it actually needing to be emptied. Also, I have read on the Magnifica that people had to “feed the beans” into the hopper each brew and at first I didn’t have this problem, but after the second week I do. It is tucked under a cabinet on my counter and I have to pull it out to fix the beans almost every time I brew now. This is almost an amazing machine but I just printed my return label and am back on the market for a new machine.
