Makes Life Easy! I love this recipe collection. There's great variety and it helps to spur my own creativity in terms of food. Love the stews - perfect for fall and winter. 11-02-10
SLow Winter Days-Slow Cooker As the days become longer, my family loves soups and stews and chili. The crock pot is ideal for these and other such recipies. This cookbook has given me variations on some of the recipies I already have and some good new ones to try. I am glad I purchased it. Thanks QVC for offering it.! 11-01-10
Not very good. If you have not used any Fix It And Forget It books you may like this book. It can't compare to other books I have used. Save your money. 10-29-10
Poorly Made I am returning this because when I opened the package and took off the plastic wrapping, the whole inside of the book fell out. Apparently the binding is very, very poorly made and will not hold up to the heavy weight of the book. Truely a disappointing product. Will not order a replacement as I am concerned that even if it comes in one piece, that with a little use, it will just break. 10-13-10
Crock Pot - The Original Slow Cooker Recipe Collec As a collector of cookbooks, the Crock Pot cookbook is superb. I"ve tried a few recipes and each one has been a hit with the family. I'd rate the cookbook with 5 stars. 06-28-10
Very Nice Very nice looking cook book, well put together, I look forward to trying all the recipes. The pictures are great. 02-14-10
Great Recipes! I love this cookbook! I use my crockpot a lot. I have a big family so we have a 7 qt crock pot. I adapted the recipes, tripling most and they were great! The cooking times for my crock pot needed to be shorter. Like the Oatmeal Custard took 1 1/2 hours instead of 3-3 1/2 hours even though I tripled the recipe. But it was outstanding! My family loves these recipes!! I'm home with my crock pot, I don't know how these would turn out if you were away from home at work for 8 hours. They'd be great for going to church. 01-16-10
GREAT COOK BOOK! Receipes are easy and delicious! Love the binder and pictures. I'm buying my second book for my daughter in law. My friend looked at this book and ordered one also ...you won't be disappointed. 10-30-09
Crock Pot Cookbook Very nice book but I do have one major complaint and that is that there is no index. For that reason I would actually rate this 3 1/2 stars but we cannot do half stars. For example if you want to make something with beef or ground beef, you cannot look in an index to find all the recipes for that ingredient. They are not all in one section and without an index pointing you to recipes in different sections and a title, you really have to page thru every section. The sections are not as you would find in most cookbooks. There are many sections that a particular ingredient such as this can be found in. If there would be an index I would possibly give this 4 1/2 or 5 stars. The recipes are easy in that they don't use many ingredients or anything that is strange or hard to find. Most are things I always have on hand such as different spices and seasonings. For those who like super simple recipes, there is a section of recipes that have 5 or fewer ingredients. 10-04-09
Great Cookbook I was so Happy when I got this cookbook, there are so many things to cook. My husband got a hold of it and has made a list of what he wants to try first. Recipes are easy to modify if you have a food allergy. As the one lady said it is heavy, but the amount of recipes that are in it and that it is not a flimsy paper back. I think it is a great value and a fantastic price. Thank you QVC! 09-25-09
Disappointed When this book was shown on air, it was described as having a nice color picture for every recipe. It does not. It has pictures for about 50% of its recipes. Worse, the recipes require too many ingredients, many of which I do not keep on hand. The average recipe seems to list at least 10 to 12 ingredients. Many have more. Additionally, the recipes mostly are NOT kid-friendly. When I think slow cooker, I think easy. Many of the recipes call for pre-cooking items separately, etc. Definitely not simple, quick and easy. 09-22-09
Wonderful Recipes and LOVE the Binder This was on waitlist for a few weeks and so I just received it last week. I have already used a couple different recipes and have several marked to make soon. I made the Simply Delicious Pork a couple of days ago and it was very yummy! I didn't realize that you could make so many different things in your slow cooker! And the binder is great because if you wanted to share any of the recipes, you could just take that page out and copy it and put it back. Perfect! 05-07-09
