Cook's Essentials Carbon Steel Rapid Chicken Roaster is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Roaster I love this pan. I don't understand the bad reviews. There were instructions in my box and the chicken was browned and delicious. Clean up is a breeze. The veggies cooked beautifully. I cooked on 425 degrees for 15 minutes and then on 350 degrees until done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from nothing like video I followed the directions and the chicken took as long as it normally did. The vegetables were not cooked. I'm going to try again, but expect the same results.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this pan! I haven't had any of the problems listed by some reviewers.... the finish on the pan is still perfect after 5 uses (also baked a cake in it) and cleanup is so easy! Nothing sticks to it and my chickens have come out as good or better than the ones I have picked up at the grocery store deli. I usually buy larger chickens, so I leave it in the oven for an hour to make sure it's done and the skin is extra crispy. It's the only way I'll roast a chicken from here on. Also sent one as a gift to my sister-in-law who moved to a small town where she can't get Costco chicken. I'm happy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh Unimpressed. Paint finish chips and scratches w/ minimal contact. Didn't note that chicken cooked any faster (possibly because I usually roast chicken in cast-iron or stoneware) Bird pitches forward on post insert which prevents the lower skin from browning and crisping. The water required in the base does result in a nice chicken broth. The style of the pan is great, but effective construct and quality are definitely lacking. Never thought COOK'S would let me down...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a crispy chicken! Cooking times are longer for a larger chicken! Don't get turned off by the other reviews. The results are very juicy and crispy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was so excited to order this item! But very disappointed when I used it. The chicken took just as long to cook as if I had used my roasting pan but the vegetables did not cook! I hopefully will be able to use the copper pan for other things! I wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as expected I fell for these vertical pans years ago and they never worked right. The top half of the chicken cooks and the bottom is still half raw. The very same thing has happened again with this pan. It always looks better on t.v. I used a small chicken and followed all the instructions. My chicken has been in the oven for 1 hour. The tail end is starting to get too crispy and the legs and the rest is still not cooked at all. I had to take it off the vertical pan and put it in a foil pan so we can eat sometime today. My husband just said we have to quit falling for everything we see on t.v.. I will be using the pan for other things but not for that vertical chicken again. What a shame.
