Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Work I have never had this much trouble with an appliance that should make things more simple. I purchased because I thought I wanted smaller loaves. I have gone through two bags of bread flour. Never got a single good loaf. Cheaper to go back to making by hand. Too late to return. What a waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bread Machine Purchased Just got my machine yesterday and put it to work on a loaf over night. Worked perfectly. But how do you use the toast function? The manual does not seem to cover use of the machine very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst purchase ever We were excited to have fresh made bread again. However this machine only mixes the ingredients on the initial knead for about 45 seconds. When the bread comes out it is very heavy and the outside is still covered in clumps of flour. The ingredients don't get mixed well. We made at least 4 or 5 loaves and they are all the same. Don't waste your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty Bread We like this machine, it is so easy to operate. Since it can make just a one pound loaf, it is perfect for just two people. Only wish it came with more recipes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good first bread machine for me First thing i did was lose the pamphlet with recipes. Lots can be found on line and as Meredith said, King Arthur Flour is a wealth of recipes with helpful forums and reviews with many good suggestions. My first loaf was plain white bread. Second honey and oats. Third potato with mostly white flour and some wheat and used honey instead of sugar. (I really like the subtle flavor honey adds.) First two baked on "light", both baked done on top but not brown on top. Third baked on "dark" baked done on top and only slightly brown on top. Sides and bottom baked fine. All taste great, but are a little denser than I want, so I'll keep experimenting. Not only is it fun and EASY making bread, it's fun eating it because I know exactly what I'm eating with just the handful of ingredients and not a long list of questionable things from store bought. I think this is a great starter bread maker. Maybe one day I'll upgrade but so far I'm enjoying this one at a good price. The only drawback for me is the print on the machine is hard to read. Black on grey and it's tiny.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inconsistent Results I made four loaves and only one came out. I even tried to make dough and it didn't work either. Instructions are vague so I called the manufacturer. Not my first bread maker so I knew what I was doing. Wasted a lot of flour and yeast. Had to go back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bread Maker I have used this machine two times so far and the first time was a total flop and had to throw the loaf away, The second time was better, although the bread was a lot heavier that what we prefer. Still trying new ways to see if I am going to keep it or send it back.
