Best grill I’ve ever owned.
Awesome smoker/grill. Have cooked everything on it, chicken, beef, ribs, fish, brisket. Keeps consistent temperatures and smoke levels.

Love the grill. Takes a few tries to get things just right. Grill survived the FedEx man breaking open the box and spilling the contents on the drive way. Camp Chef YouTube channel is your friend. Use it if you are a newbie.

Enjoying it.
Just got my Woodwind and smoked my first pork shoulder. It came out great. Still learning how to properly use the woodwind coming from propane! Can't wait to try out the slider for doing hot dogs and burgers.

I bought this pellet smoker grill in February of 2020 as the WiFi control, ash dumping, and direct heat slider looked like great features and made the Woodwind somewhat unique in a field that offered a wide variety options. The grill wasn't that hard to assemble and was packed in a way that it arrived undamaged. after taking about an hour or so to assemble the grill in my garage, I filled it with pellets, and used the controls on the unit to have it break itself in as recommended in the instructions. It started smoldering in a few moments and within 10 minutes was up to the temperature set and humming along. After the break in process was complete, it was time to cook some grilled chicken breast for dinner. I took a basic recipe dry rub and 10 minutes @350f. I started to get suspicious when the probe was reading that it was done in only 4 minutes. At any given temperature the actual temp inside the grill is 50 deg f hotter than it's supposed to be.
Wi-Fi connectivity is spotty at best and requires that you first establish a Bluetooth connection for each session. So if you didn't stand next to the grill when you opened the app the Wi-Fi connectivity is meaningless and won't function. Which is funny, since this is the second version of the Wi-Fi controller I have had installed in this grill. The first one wouldn't even work at all.
Camp Chef support is friendly and sends replacement parts quickly. The only issue is having to replace 2 major parts in only the first year. (the blower motor also burned out). What's going to happen once the warranty is out? I clean the grill according to the instructions and store the grill covered. I don't have a lot of confidence in this grill lasting without yearly parts replacement. Overall I regret the purchase and I regret trusting Camp Chef over other more trusted brands for pellet grills.

Quick start your summer!
Easy to set up and start using. The temperatures are kept consistent throughout use. The pellet hopper is nice and large and the fuel seems to burn well.

totally worth the buy!
Pert near a year in and my wife and I agree it was definitely worth the buy! I did heavy research on pellet grills/smokers and CC wound up being a solid choice. I will happily use this until it is unusable or I spoil myself with the larger one. The barrel of the grill was delivered slightly bent, but I was able to slightly pull it out. (Camp Chef customer service did credit me for this and I purchased a couple of accesories)
It does take some time in using it to figure out the temperature fluctuations and a few "quirks," for lack of a better word. The quirks and fluctuations are connected to the food being cooked and environmental temp. I have a grill blanket and believe it helps, but can't say with certainty. (I have used it from the start) I have used it during -30 below temps and it was slow to start and took a bit long to get to temp, but the brisket came out great! (I will be adding a homemade grill blanket to help)
Definitely like the WIFI/bluetooth aspect of it and being able to control it from anywhere as long as my mobile device has connection. (HINT: always make sure your grill is connected to WIFI. I had reset my network and forgot to reconnect the grill.)
I think this grill works great! If your searching for one and not needing the "name brand" line, Camp Chef should be a strong consideration.

BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A GRILL...
I received my Woodwind WIFI 24 for Christmas 2020. Assembly was not too difficult, but might want a helper for when it's time to stand it up. Break in and set up was a breeze. I have used the smoker at lease 4 times a month since I got it. Every use has been great. I have taken it apart and cleaned it 3 times so far and even that was easier than expected. I have done quick cooks and up to 20+ hour cooks. Pellet consumption is much better than my Brother in law's T#@&ger. In my opinion this is the best value for a pellet grill on the market.
