Boyne Valley Weavers Striped Ruana with Fringe is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Irish schawl This is beautiful. The fabric is 80% wool and feels like a fine fabric. The rose color is lovely. Many people commented on my lovely ruana. Get one, if you can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Authentic ruana style I live in a warm climate so wear this kind of wrap only occasionally or when I travel. I have other wool versions but this is lovely. I changed my order from blue to beige but am returning the beige for blue! The beige is a great color but my first instinct was the best one! Blue goes with jeans. The weight is a little heavy but not like a blanket. I didn’t find it itchy or scratchy- but it is wool. If you look closely on the underside you can see the herringbone weave. It may be slightly brushed on the front side but it is NOT felted. I’m 5’3 and it doesn’t overwhelm me- but covers well. This would be excellent if you need a wrap during a flight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please, Bring More Boyne Valley Weavers! I can't imagine why it took me so long to order this ruana! I ordered both the beige and the blue, missy. Unfortunately, I had to return the beige as it shed on my darker colors. However, the blue is a masterpiece of color and style. I am about 5 ft. 4, and this has the perfect drape. I have sewn a small snap onto it (the seaming around the garment is thick enough to accommodate a snap that won't show on the outside) so I can wear this either as a ruana or a poncho. We miss you, Matt Doolen, and hope your retirement doesn't put an end to Boyne Valley Weavers on QVC! Good luck and God bless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY FIRST RUANA I love the antique rose color and the fit of this wrap. Although I am only 4 Ft. 7 “, the length is fine. It is warm and has not yet caused any itching due to the woolen fabric. It is comfortable to wear just watching TV or going out during the fall, winter and spring even in Florida but I am a cold natured person. I am considering ordering both the blue and the beige in the missy size as it is only one inch shorter. I love the products from Ireland based on their quality workmanship and unique designs. This was a great deal in that it was on 5 payments, free shipping and on sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabric not Knit I think it would have been helpful if the presenters had mentioned this is FELTED wool, not KNIT wool. That being said, this is like a piece of material but very nicely crafted. I also think it would have been better if they had just flat edged the edges rather than rolled them. Would make the fabric less stiff and more flexible. Although I will agree that the wool is a bit scratchy it is not terrible. Probably would have been nicer out of merino rather than lambs wool. Upon first try on this fabric is somewhat "stiff" but I steamed mine to get the wrinkles out and that allowed it to drape more. I am also thinking about putting it in some fabric softener to tame the "scratch" and drape factor more. All in all, it is a nicely crafted and finished garment. I got the blue and it is very neutral but may exchange for the green.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soo wanted to love it I have been looking for a ruana for a long time. One that was not black, did not shed all over my clothes, and looked pretty. Well this met all of those criteria but I did think about adding did not make me itch. I really wanted to make this work but I could not get past the stiffness of the garment and, although I can wear some wools, this was not one of them.
