Rated 3 out of 5 by from Noise canceling? I am on the fence about these. They are comfortable but not that great on blocking out noise. Will be returning them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Sleep Finally! I ordered these sleep buds in another attempt to help find a better night’s sleep. I have suffered with insomnia and interrupted sleep most of my life. The sleep buds are comfortable, secure (do not fall out), Bluetooth, rechargeable and easy to take when I travel. I am experiencing regular sleep patterns for the first time in years and appreciate the intelligent design and white noise program that plays while you sleep. They even have an in-ear alarm to wake you up on time. They are a bit pricey but can you really put a value on a good night’s sleep?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tech, better sleep These little buds are probably one of the coolest pieces of tech I've ever owned. I don't know how Bose does it, but these sleepbuds fit my ears perfectly straight out of the box. Not only that, but they are so small and lightweight, that I don't even feel them when I sleep at night. I will say that it took a few nights for me to get used to them but this is because I've never slept with anything in my ears. I think these would be especially comfortable for people that sleep with earplugs or other sleep buds. Aside from the comfort, the Bose sleep app works seamlessly with the buds and knows when you have them on. They have a wide selection of sounds to choose from, all of which are peaceful and soothing. Also, if you are a tech geek like me, you will LOVE the case. The charging case is perfectly designed, and honestly was one of the main reasons I wanted to try them out. To charge them, all you do is lay them in the case and they charge seamlessly. I still find it hard to fathom how such small buds can hold enough charge to go all night. I don't know how it works, but it does! I recommend this product to any people that have troubles with insomnia. Great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Getting a better night's sleep may be possible! Often it's very difficult to get a good nights sleep when on the road. If you've ever experienced a hotel room with lots of distracting noise, then this may be the product to your looking for to get a good night sleep. What this product will not do, is cancel out all noise. They are not designed to be a noise canceling headset but our design to help substitute distracting noises with one that is far more soothing and relaxing. There are some different soothing white noises that you can select that will drowned out any of the distracting background noise and allow you the opportunity to go to sleep. The earbuds also can set how long you want this background noise to play as well as providing an opportunity to set the alarm to wake you up. I found the setup was very easy if you're familiar with it on your iPhone. However, if you are not, it may be a bit more challenging as the directions provided with the earbuds are very limited and depended upon you being somewhat versed in smartphone applications. On the positive side, once you do set up the earbuds the application on your phone is comprehensive in its ability to tell you about the settings the product battery duration and other important information. Ultimately, I would recommend these to someone who does not need absolute silence to sleep but doesn't need to be able to eliminate distracting noises replace with soothing white noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. My husband has sleep apnea and therefore snores loudly, even through his mask. I purchased these in hopes of downing everything out so i could get a good nights sleep without the loud noises. For all intents and purposes they do work. The sounds choices are very pleasant and comforting to a certain extent. Some I could not use as they would keep me awake more than put me to sleep, but the others were very good at putting me to sleep very quickly. My only concern with the sound portion of these was that with some of the ones I actually liked, I had to turn up the volume to max to mask the outside noises, which in itself can be very distracting and keep me awake. AS for all other aspects of these sleep buds, they were great. They fit well right out of the box, and even came with other sizes for people with larger ears. They came pre-charged, which is great for out of the box use, and charge super fast in the included case. The case is also a quick charge itself. Setup was super easy and the app was very intuitive and user friendly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Finished The Sleepbuds are a nice idea with large user experience issues that detract from the idea and convenience of the product. These issues, such as a poor fit of earbuds (for me at least) and the limited number of sounds really restricted my enjoyment of the product, so much so that I had to take them out some nights because they were uncomfortable. Due to the poor fit, they even fell out of one ear in the middle of the night. I enjoy the variety of sounds coming through the buds, but I found some technical errors like out of sync sleepbuds. The sound quality isn't that great due to the small drivers, but I'm used to Sony headphones, so it might just be me. I would expect the drivers to be optimized however. All in all, it seems like a nice project that lacked much needed testing on a large group of people. For the price of $249, I feel like this product needed many more features and more testing and focus groups with consumers, as opposed to engineers and Bose employees. Hopefully Bose can improve the features for the next generation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good concept but not for everyone I received these cause I have a hard time sleeping at night with noises all around. Thinking that with the Bose name they would be an awesome product that may help. Although they offer some relieve in noise reduction they don't come with the noise cancellation like my other Bose headset has. I don't mind the limited choices of sounds they have to play in the background: *Rustle: Wind kicking up leaves. *Cascade: A cascading waterfall. *Shower: Gentle rain falling on leaves. *Circulate: A fan with an electrical undertone, like an air conditioner. *Altitude: Airplane cabin ambient noise. *Swell: Rolling and crashing waves. *Campfire: Crackling fire and softly chirping crickets. *Warm static: Broadband noise with high frequency content removed (also known as “brown” noise). *Downstream: A gentle stream. *Tranquility: A drone-like melody that some might also refer to as a spa-like sound. I don't think everyone would like to lay in bed listening to those sounds trying to sleep? I like the fact that you can set your alarm and able to hear it through the headset. They fit very comfortably in the ear and come with a nice setup for storage and charging.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost... I was extremely excited when I heard that Bose was developing these. I live in a booming neighborhood in NYC that is plagued with constant construction which often disturbs my sleep. I also have not been lucky enough to win the "considerate neighbor" lottery and often have trouble drowning out the hum of loud TV watching, all night long. I usually fall asleep watching ASMR videos on YouTube but wired or not, earphones are uncomfortable and I wake myself either in pain or a tangle of wires. First off, these earbuds are incredibly comfortable and cause absolutely no discomfort even when sleeping on your side. They are light, tiny, and flexible. The charging case is impressive and beautifully designed. I love that it holds a series of charges so you could rely on the case, on the go for a few nights. I love that you can make those midnight runs to the bathroom without having to unplug or interrupt your sleep sounds. There are many positives but there are a few things I don't love. Largest drawback is that you can ONLY play the preset sounds through the app and for the amount spent, and the incredible comfort, I would love to be able to play my goto sleep sounds and videos. I only found 1 out of the 10 presets helpful which was the brown noise loop. Unfortunately, I found the others either choppy, repetitive, which drives me crazy listening for the pattern, or too sharp for my liking. Also, a few of them seemed to sound too faint even when turned up high. I am hopeful that Bose will additional options with app updates. The brown noise succeded in significantly reducing my sleep disturbances, not 100% but, I'd say about 65%. My other issue was the alarm function. There is currently only 1 option to choose from for an alarm tone and it's awful and jarring. I was shocked that there was no cross fade option between sleep sounds and alarm. It just cuts your sound and goes straight into full volume alarm. I see that there are other sound options in the app but they are grayed out, presently and I assume more options will unlock with app updates. One more tiny gripe, these buds had a odd smell to them in the beginning which made my ears smell funny, too. It has lessened with use and cleaning but, it was a little off-putting. Overall, I'm hoping that Bose with adapt these buds and their capabilities over time and even incorporate some of our suggestions. If this evolution occurs, I think these buds will be little miracles to people like me who just need to sleep.
