Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the real thing I love these hearphones, they are the best thing I've ever invested in, I can now hear things I've missed in many years, even with the very expensive hearing aides. I love the way you have the control of how and what you want to hear. I would for sure recommend these to anyone who has problems hearing. I am almost deaf in one ear and I can adjust this to increase the sound in that ear, Awesome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not small enough to fit in ears... useless I purchased these because of Bose products. Waste of money. Superglue not answer to stay in ears. I need to be able to hear speech.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Died 1year and 1week after purchase I loved these things. I have one sided sensorineural hearing loss and these are the only portable device that effectively cancelled out the noise for my bad ear (I lost all processing and speech recognition so all sounds come in distorted). For my good ear, the sound quality is unmatched. I never left home without them. I am in school and lectures were impossible before I got my hearphones. Suddenly, today, they just quit turning on. The last time I used them (for < 1 hr this morning), the battery charge was at 90%. Now they won't turn on at all. I purchased them on 11/10/2017, just barely over a year ago. Through community forums, I have learned that they are only good for 500 charges - once the battery dies, the unit is worthless. For the amount of money, I am disappointed they died so quickly. I doubt I'll replace them. I guess I'm going to try and find a more long-term solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solves my problem of receding from socializing Negative first, because its the easiest for Bose to fix: they keep falling out of my ears. Even with the smallest size, the earbuds twist and fall out with the merest tiny jostle. Maybe its the earbud size, configuration, or perhaps the cable too short which yanks more and unplugs instantly out of my ears. Bose needs to make the earbud FAR more securely- fitting. Drives me nuts, because otherwise the HearPhone is a work of pure genius. I was rapidly withdrawing from social contact, due to speedy loss of hearing in complex sophisticated multi-tiered conversation with colleagues and buddies. People are on to you quickly when you just sit there, smile and nod like an idiot - and cannot pick up on meaning and therefore are unable to contribute. Data is clear now that difficulty hearing accelerates cognitive decline and dementia. Rapid-fire practice in conversation is essential to keep rehearsing the brain-wiring needed for the brain to stay alert and involved. HearPhone sound quality is scratchy BUT really truly keeps me in the game. Before HearPhone I HAD to interrupt with "Huh?", "What?", "Could you repeat?" every single minute. It made people irritated and angry. With HearPhone, now it is NEVER (truthfully, NEVER) necessary to force others to repeat. It has bettered my daily life substantially - yet is a pain, because of the constant failure to stay affixed in the ear canals, and constant falling out. If Bose can get these little buggers to just stay in reliably, I would not give a rip what they looked like. HearPhone scores big-time with engineering that (affordably) solves a severe widespread factor that risks the mental ability of millions. Thank you, Dr. Bose!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like eyeglasses for your ears That phrase from one of the videos comes to mind as I use my new Hearphones. I've had them for about a month now and it's so amazing to be able to hear distinctly what were mumbles before. I work in an office and my hearing loss (combined with tinnitus) had made going to meetings or having one-on-one discussions with quiet-speaking individuals a frustrating experience. Now I can hear ... and in between meetings I can listen to Pandora. The Hearphones seem very reliable and well-made and I can quickly change "settings" through my iOS app. Thanks, Bose, for letting me hear: I had been trying to save up for the hearing aids that cost literally 10 times the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Happy Yet... I was hoping for separate equalizer type adjustment separately for each ear. I need high frequency boost in one ear and mid range in the other. This does not exist yet. Also want to reduce/filter ambient ("world" or white) noise like wind/air stream (as when in a car), fan/AC noise too, but pass normal sounds (radio/conversations/passing vehicles/ EMS vehicle sounds. Hopefully a S/W update will allow for this. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a good purchase I brought the hearphone to compare with the Eargo that I purchased 6-7 months ago, After several weeks of trial I felt that the hearphone actually works better than Eargo in hearing TV and conversations in a loud environments. However I dislike hearing my own voice as if I am in a tunnel. Incoming sounds or voices have a tinny quality to it particularly when I turn or block the background noise down. The overall design of the hearphone is clunky and OK to wear while upright and sitting but not while lean back to a headrest. I look forward to a truly wireless listening device which I believe is available and your competitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can hear! Purchased in lieu of hearing aids that caused me to be priced out of the market. Bose is a quality line of audio that I have had the pleasure of owning and enjoying for many years. The cost was affordable and a television review gave the product good marks. If there is a downside it is the length of power time ... wish it was long enough to cover a full day of use with an overnight charge. I find it is generally usable for 12 hours so I have to be discriminate with use when I have a morning and evening event in the same day. But the sound .. wonderful! I am now asking to have audio turned down as it is too loud with my Bose ears!
