Bob Mackie Serape Stripe A-Line Skirt is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compliments galore This is very flattering. I wear a 3X. It is quite long as I am @ 5’4”, but I can wear it as a sleeveless dress if I pull it up. I get compliments every time I wear it. Good purchase for the discounted price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this skirt but... What is it about the renowned designer Bob Mackie that he can’t match patterns in his skirts??!! The only seams he had to match were the side seams because there are only two pieces of fabric - the front piece in the back piece. As a seamstress, I am so aware of matching patterns but somehow he does not do this. I guess I was lucky because one side seam is almost perfectly matched but the other side seam is off by about 1 inch. It may sound like I’m obsessing about this but this is a fundamental principle of sewing. With that being said, I figured this skirt has so much flow that maybe the side seams won’t ever be noticed. I bought the coral color because I like the green in it. It is too long for my taste however and I plan to shorten it a bit. It fits beautifully and I hope I love wearing it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from My disappointment in this skirt is palpable There is a bit of deception in how this skirt has been portrayed to the public. On Ms. Szish's program and in the online video featuring Chantal the model, the side seam chevrons line up beautifully. In another online program presentation the model is wearing the skirt and these side seam chevrons do not line up. The 1X blue skirt that I received fit beautifully. I liked the slightly taller elastic in the waistband compared with previous Bob Mackie skirts. The fabric is a heavier polyester, drapes well. The print is gorgeous in person. I was so tempted by all three Southwestern colors of this skirt. But the skirt I received has side seams with chevrons that do not match. I pulled out the measuring tape from my sewing machine cabinet drawer and discovered that on each side seam the measurements are off by one-and-a-half inches. This skirt could have been exceptional if all the chevrons had matched on all the seams. How hard can it be? There are four panels to this skirt, a simple elasticized waistband and a simple hem. If I could, I would insert myself into QVC's warehouse and go through all the blue skirts in a 1X until I found one where all the chevrons match. In these days of covid19, when it is not safe to travel, I find I am buying clothes that remind me of places where I have traveled. This skirt reminds me of Old Mexico and especially Old New Mexico and Arizona. Several times in the past decade we have stayed in the inn next to the Old Spanish-themed Tlaquepaque mall in Sedona and have at all hours walked and photographed this unique place with its many tall trees. I would very much like to return to Sedona in the future. This skirt would have been perfect for a vacation in the desert Southwest. The skirt I received looks cheaply constructed, so sadly. I am returning it to QVC. My disappointment is palpable.
