Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money and buy a Roomba This unit is worthless. If I could return it I would. The unit gets confused and shuts down for no reason. Half the time it doesn't return to the charging base. I've seen it roll right over debris and not suck it up. If you program the pattern you want it to use it will do the pattern for three or four sequences and then it does a random pattern. I am very shocked that Bissell put their name on this product. It makes me wonder if I should reconsider the Bissell carpet cleaner we are looking to purchase. Save your money and stay away from this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Your Review Homework I was originally given a Bissell 2142 Robiotic Vacuum for my birthday in Dec. 2017. We attempted to program it using the instruction booklet. After several unsuccessful attempts including a phone call to Bissell we were told to return the unit on 2/2/2018 and it would be replaced. On 3/16/2018 we received a replacement (a new Bissell #1974 Vacuum, an upgrade). To make a long story short, Have had 4 different docking stations and 3 different robo vacuums before we finally got one that could be programmed. There were other strange things that the first two vacuum units did and they had to replace the vacuuming unit 2 times. The final unit we received (a 1974R series) on 6/30/2018 is a re-manufactured unit and we were able to program it. Most of my dealings with the Bissell representatives went well and they were polite. 3 of the 4 docking stations we received were not programmable, which according to one of the reps is a STANDARD fault in the units. Apparently they fixed the problem on the re-manufactured unit that we received. We now have 3 docking stations on hand as Bissell did not want the faulty ones sent back! The re-manufactured unit works fine. Even though it works now, it definitely has not been worth the 6 months in time and the dozen calls it has taken to finally get a unit that works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more aching back! I read a lot of reviews in regards to the robot vacuum before I purchased it. I have always wanted a robotic vacuum but had never purchased one because they were soooo expensive. However, I am employed by the State and they offered this through an employee purchasing site at an excellent price. So, I bought it. I knew with Bissell's excellent customer service, if there was an issue, I could return it. I really don't understand the individuals who said it had no suction. I cannot believe the stuff this robotic vacuum got up off my floor. It was amazing. As far as the bin being small, it is a robotic vacuum, you want it to be small enough to go under furniture, it can't be huge. I guess the mistake that most people are making is this, if you want the bin capacity of a regular vacuum cleaner, buy a regular vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, this is an incredible robotic vacuum cleaner at a price that I could afford. Unlike a Roomba, which I would have to float a loan to purchase. I don't have to pull on a vacuum cleaner, it goes under the furniture, it has great suction. I use it almost everyday. Something I would never do with a regular vacuum cleaner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would NEVER buy this product again, and I do not recommend Piece of Junk -- Bissell Robots are junk! It will work for about 1-2 weeks, then it stops charging (E6 error). Cannot get the error to clear. Walked through troubleshooting with technical support. They have me ship the unit back and I get a new unit. This has happend 4 times! I want a machine that works.

We had just moved into a new house and it has an open floor plan with carpeting, tile and wood flooring, so a lot to vacuum, I think it does a great job, I had initially had to block off rooms with a Landry basket etc as it only comes with 1 sensory (keeps the robot in 1 room our out of a room with kids socks all over or what not)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Bissell and their customer service ! I originally bought a Bissell robot cleaning vacuum back in November last year. I was so excited when I got it because I hate having to vacuum all the time as I have two large dogs. I'm also a shift worker (nurse) and work long hours days and nights so finding the time to clean is a real pain! So happy when I got this vacuum because it does all the work for you. Unfortunately my machine stopped working and the suction no longer worked. Since I didn't have the vacuum long I contacted customer service about my issue. They immediately understood how it was an inconvenience for me not to have my machine but they even sent me a brand new vaccum (the newest model even) right away in the mail. Now I have a perfectly working vacuum at no extra cost for myself !! Thanks so much bissell for your awesome service ! You guys rock !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY We loved having a robot vacuum. We thought Bissell would be a great brand since they have a lot of great vacuums. We were wrong. We got this robot vacuum Black Friday of 2016 and have already had it replaced twice, and had to order a couple replacement parts since. We aren't hard on it; we have carpet and vinyl. We had it scheduled to go every day at the same time while we were gone away at work, but we would find it stuck on things it shouldn't get stuck on. The debris bin is small. The roller needs hair cut out of it daily. It's SO LOUD! It also isn't very good at gathering up little pieces of dog food or little pebbles that get into the house from his paws or our shoes. It didn't do as great of job cleaning as I had hoped. It also didn't do the best at cleaning pet hair. My sister and mom have the iLife and I was amazed by how much quieter it was than our Bissell, the debris tray was larger, and it ran longer than our Bissell. So now that our second Bissell robot vacuum pooped out on us after only having the replacement since November 2017, we aren't getting another. I was VERY disappointed with this product. We will be purchasing an iLife and I will not recommend this robot vacuum.
