Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Carpet Sweeper....So Far Purchased this carpet cleaner to pick-up bits of stuff that wind up on our rug in the front of our store between vacuums. Works well - picks up stuff when pushed in both directions without the noise and power cord of a vacuum. Only concern is that all of the moving parts/gears are made of rubber and plastic. I wounder how long these will last before wearing out and the opposing rotating brushes will no longer rotate effectively.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm impressed We purchased 2 of these for our office because we just got new dark colored carpet. Because of that every speck of lint and dirt shows up and who wants to break out the big sweeper every hour to remedy that? Well it's Bissell to the rescue! Now we can just do a quick sweep and it looks great. Yes, you have to go over the spot sometimes a few times and it is a little noisy, but so much better than breaking out the electric one. I love this and it even works on hard surface floors. No, this isn't going to do the deep cleaning for you, but to keep things tidy and neat until you can do the big clean, this is the ticket. I definitely want to get one of these for my house! Sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cat litter picker upper. This is our secound Natural Sweep. Our first Natural Sweep was over 25 years old, and in need of some repairs to the handle, so, we decided to replace it. We have cats, and need to sweep up cat litter often. The Natural Sweep is the perfect tool for the job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Given a second chance I got it to sweep up bird feathers and mess on a wooden floor. I didn't like how it worked at first, but it is sturdy with sturdy brushes, sturdier than the Sweep Up. The brush arrangement is different too, from the Sweep Up. The Natural has two thick brushes in the middle while the Sweep Up has much smaller brushes that are on each end. So it depends on how heavy you want your brushes, mostly. I've used mine twice now and it hasn't fallen apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Edit to earlier review of Second Chance It isn't great with bird feathers. It doesn't like cat litter either. Not great for pet mess, but will pick up seed shells eventually. Better for kitchen and can be used a little on carpet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect tool for the job! I use this sweeper to pick up litter on a short pile rug. It does a great job collecting the litter as well as the cat fur. The litter box sits on a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet that has a raised pattern creating a multi layered surface. The sweeper has a harder time picking up the litter there, but it still gets the job done! I'm glad I bought the sweeper :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs stronger (stiffer) brushes Mine is at least 12 years old. I can't find a model # on it, so it may not be the same as the one above. But it has never done a good pick-up job like my grandmother's big one, back in the late 1940's. I wish the brushes on mine were stiffer - they just roll over and past the dirt on the floor, or skid it along instead of picking it up. I do clean the brushes, so it isn't that they are dirty. I do like the idea of a non-electric sweeper, just wish I could get stiffer bristled brushes for it.
