Betty Bossi Veggie Sheet Slicer is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far, It Works Great! When I ordered this, I was expecting to have to figure out "the knack" to using this tool properly. Was I pleasantly surprised when I popped the potato in and immediately got nice, thin sheets the first time. I cut the sheet into pieces, and made the best potato chips. Even better that when I hand slice or use a mandolin to make chips! It was easy to clean as well. I have yet to try it with other vegetables or fruits, but even if I end up using this just for home made chips, it is well worth it. Major time saver!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Only Thing I Cut Was My Finger Still don’t know how to use this after trying for an hour. Cut my finger...can say the blade is sharp. The only thing it did was mash the end of my cucumber. Went back to watch the video but it has been removed. The product is probably sold out. The directions were not good. Sad...I wanted this to work like on TV.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was looking forward to getting this and couldn't wait to use it. I prepared cucumbers and zucchini and did not have success with either one. The slicer leaves a one-quarter inch rim and in the process "mashes" the vegetable after the first turn. I'm sending it back because the demonstration showed it working perfectly and mine did not. Also, be very careful of the blade. It comes with this warning so it should be easier to handle than it is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from pay attention to the demo So far I have only used this on eggplant and what a DISASTER. The gripper that holds the vegetable is too short. It wouldn't hold the eggplant, just tore up the insides. Then I noticed that the demonstrators all had mostly peeled items and they were all a level width. If you get a vegetable that gets wider at one end, it makes it more difficult or you have to cut it until it is. Also, there is a lack of adjustability of size. I wasted a lot of the vegetable cutting off ends to fit, so better plan an alternative use for the rest of it. My husband ended up slicing the eggplant around with a knife, achieving what I was trying in a fraction of the time. I am debating about trying other vegetables or just sending it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gadget David did a poor job demonstrating the product. Don't think he knew himself how to use it. The button on the product is used to hold the blade upright in place so that you can load the vegetable or fruit. If you pick up the center of the item and push the button to the side, it holds the blade up so that you can load it. Then, push the button to the opposite side and it releases the blade so that it now sits on the food item. Then twist the handle and VOILA. Hope this helps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jury's Still Out Love this idea. If only David or the presenter would have shown how to load this, may have made it easier to figure out. Instead they showed the easy part, turning the knob and slicing the veggies. They just said pull out the rod and load. Easier said, than done. The demo did not include how to load the veggie onto the rod. More difficult than it seems. The jury is still out. I'm waiting for my brother to figure this out. If he can't do it, it will be returned. So disappointing, because it really looks cool. I am hoping I can keep and use it. Next time it's presented please have one of the guys show how to use it from beginning to end. NOT A GOOD DEMO!!!
