Rated 1 out of 5 by from Came apart at seams At first I thought this was the best sweater ever. I had finally found the perfect navy blue sweater. Well, yesterday I was SO embarrassed. A total stranger told me my sweater had a hole in it. When I returned home, I discovered the left side of the sweater was gaping open. I couldn't believe it. This is the 4th sweater I own that is made by the Irish knitters. I now have a sweater that I don't know how to repair. Why did it come apart? Dry rot? I can't take the chance of buying another $100 + sweater that lasted 9 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I ordered the red, which is more of a raspberry, and love it. I did want red, but the style and fit won me over. The weight is perfect for Michigan weather, so I will get tons of use out if it. The raspberry is a lovely color and is a nice addition to my other 15 or so Irish sweaters. I love the quality and design of the Irish sweaters and will continue to allow myself one or two each year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxury, textile artistry, a taste of Ireland. I have many Aran Craft sweaters, but this is my new favorite. The stitchery is fantastic, exquisite (I am also a knitter). I did not like the look of the sweater open on the video and on air demo, but closed (as in the photos shown), tied off-center, is so stylish and easy-to-wear. HEADS UP on sizing: I usually go for XS in Aran Craft (I am 5'5 120) but they were out in my size for the Green/Olive, so I went with SMALL. It is perfect. I live in California, so it will function as a coat as well, even in the current cold mornings and evenings in an early spring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Color Just received this sweater in garnet and Iove the saturated and rich color. The only thing I would Iike to see in the next version of this sweater are pockets in an angle on both sides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Irish splendor This is a true find!! Breathtaking stitching, so intricate yet the styling of this sweater is sheer fashion. Drapes like a dream, is SO soft, and I'm a petite and wear it open without belt for a gorgeous accent to anything I'm wearing. Sleeves are perfect length as is the body of the sweater, more like a coat for warmer weather locations, just a PERFECT PURCHASE!! How many things can you say that about? You won't be sorry taking this one home, you'll have it forever then hand it down as a true Irish treasure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love but add pockets please I love the merino wool sweaters. I often will wear them instead of a coat. I jumped at the chance to try this newer style! It is updated and very comfy. I got it in 2 colors. My only request would be to add pockets. I realize this may not be easy given the shaping around sides and back - but the season to wear these typically requires tissues and there is no pocket to hide them...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Expected What a beauty. I bought his sweater on St. Paddy's Day. I've bought other merino wool sweaters from QVC, love the quality, and this sweater is no exception. This is a very high quality merino. I can wear it so that the neckline wraps close to my neck, which brings the hem higher. Or I can wear the sweater so the neck is a more 'V' shape, letting the hem come to points in the front. Or you can tie the belt in the back, giving the sweater a more open feel. If you pull the sweater up more towards your neck, it will not be a tight fit, like a turtleneck. I'll probably wear a lightweight wool scarf with it. I bought the red and it's great. I was looking for a wool sweater in a specific red shade. What I did to enhance my chances to get the right shade of red? I put all the red wool sweaters that I was interested in into my wish list all in at the same time. That gave me the opportunity to see exactly which red was closest to the garment I was matching without having to flip through the pages of my wish list. I could see right away that this sweater was my best choice. I'm glad I bought it. If you are petite, the arms will more than likely be too long. You could roll the sleeve hems up if you don't think they will be bulky, or if rolling up sleeves on your garments doesn't' bother you. As to the garment length overall, measure where your waist is and the spot where the belt is on the sweater. On my Large sweater, the belt loop lies 6" down from the underarms, and 16" down from the back neck at the seam of the collar. The sweater flares out slightly at the hips. That's why I'm giving the belt placement for the large I bought. It might provide the waist placement and show where the hip area falls. Jane Treacy wore one of the smaller sizes on Paddy's Day, and she's petite. She loves the sweater. I do too, and I'm hardly petite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern and Classic I purchased in the olive. Such a beautiful color. The stitching is devine. I wish I had purchased in the smallest size; even belted it is very bulky for my taste. Sadly I will return. Given QVC's high shipping, I don't want to take a chance on the next size smaller. Still a 5-star item in my book.
