American West Cushion Cut Larimar Sterling Silver Ring is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Larimar Ring Love this ring. The stone is not as blue as it is in the photos, but it seems to look differently in all of the photos and videos anyway. The ring I received is also not as white as some people are saying in their reviews. It's a very light shade of powder blue or even slightly seafoam green, with some white variation. Although I would prefer a deeper blue as depicted in the photo, I still love it and I'm going to keep it. The silver setting design is lovely, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Okay I returned this ring, as the wrong size was sent to me. Like others stated, there is not much colorization in the stone; mostly white with a little blue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm not a complainer I'm not a complainer, but... I wasn't happy with the stone I received. I loved the design of the band and all the detailing on it. However the stone was more white than blue. Looks nothing like the sample picture. Such a bummer because I bought this ring to remember a special occasion and will unfortunately be sending it back and searching for this stone elsewhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from beautiful setting sub par coloring in stone The setting for this ring is very nice, but the stone itself was mostly white with a little bit of that wonderful blue coloration, and where the blue was did not seem attractive to me, so back it went. I was disappointed because I really wanted to love this ring, and the example of the stone of this ring, shown on air, was nothing like one I received.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really wanted to love this.... But there are way too many inclusions in the stone. More white lines than the beautiful caribbean blue color the stone is known for. Sadly I waited too long and can't return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slightly different, Still beautiful The stone in the ring I received (for Christmas from my husband) is perhaps lighter/milkier with a number of almost triangular darker contrasting patches of color, and is more greener turquoise colors than bluer, than I've seen in these pics and vids - but it is a gorgeous and comfortable ring. It is the wonderful quality I've come to expect from Carolyn Pollack's made in America jewelry. I'm especially a fan of her rings, and I have many. The stone sits in the setting perfectly, all the tiny teeth haven't caught on anything, and the stone is buttery smooth and shiny. I've been wearing it since Christmas morning when I happily received it. The sizing is generous, as is usual for CP rings, I've found. I have hundreds of Carolyn's rings, to be honest, so I guess I do know. I tend to buy a size down so the ring won't be too loose - anyway, plan for this ring to be about a half size smaller than normal/average. With some designer rings, it's the other way - too tight - so I will buy up a size. The thickness of the band and the style is a factor too, so that helps in the buying decision. Half sizes would be great, but since that isn't an option yet, go down in this case. The amount of sterling silver in this ring is weighty enough, without being too thick and heavy. The detailing of the silverwork is interesting and pretty in person. I love the uniqueness and rarity of this stone. It's nice and big, without being too big for some. As for me, I'd love this stone larger and in an elongated oval shape - in a whopper of a big ring. Thanks again and again, Carolyn and the Q, for bringing these amazing American made rings to those of us beyond Santa Fe New Mexico - from your doors, to ours!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gray White Green? I ordered two of these same rings in two different sizes for two different fingers. One was mostly white with a pretty green design, but one whole side of the ring, about 1/4 strip of the stone, was gray. Even though this coloring is definitely poor quality larimar, I would have kept this ring if it didn't have the gray stripe along one side. The second ring was more of a light dull grayish green, so again very poor quality larimar if you look up the standards for this stone. I have tons of AW and CP pieces and I really stopped buying these lines because of the inconsistency in the stones. Years ago the quality of the opaque stones in these two lines had much higher quality and were much more consistent. In the recent TV presentation on this ring, Carolyn emphasized the excellent quality of these larimar stones, so I don't think she could have seen the stones that I received, or many of those described in many of the reviews. Disappointed! Think I'll check out the CP website because I really would like one of these rings.
