Alienware Area-51 Desktop - Core i7, 16GB, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not working with Lightroom I installed a lot of different applications with no issues. I go and install Lightroom and when I go to import any images, the computer freezes up and it is unresponsive to everything. This computer should not be having this issue. My 4 year old laptop can handle running Lightroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice theoretical combinations Good choice of elements undercut by poor choice of quality; e.g. a nice GPU pick but of the poorest quality of its kind. It is everywhere in the machine: good choices but cheapest examples of them. The net result is a machine that is theoretically excellent but is an underperformer in reality. Sad, really, because Alienware was, at one time, an excellent boutique builder. I've owned many 'green machines', but the Dell acquisition was not good for Alienware.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely expensive, extremely hot CPU, extremely loud i9-7900X water cooled, 64 GB RAM, NVidia GTX 1080 TI, 512 GB SSD 2TB old school drive. More than enough power but building some Unity 3D asset bundles over 5 hours causes the CPU to a temp. of 95°C while the system is placed in a fully air conditioned room of 14°C! Means the CPU water cooling system is far to small! Plus: The build-in fans are so load that I am really happy that this ALIEN thing is far away from me (in the air conditioned room)! I would not recommend this computer. I would not buy it again! Too expensive, too loud, too hot CPU. (Why did I bought it? My company not me bought it, and my company have to buy DELL computer. I(!) would prefer build my own, cheaper computer on scratch which would be cool - in any way ;-) ...
