Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FOR BEACHED WHALES That would be what I said to my son while we laughed at my workout. I mean I was laying there fat and tired doing squats with my arms flopped off the sides. We were cracking up. I was like omg this is a hard workout but at least I am laying down! Admittedly, I am 40 and way out of shape. I have tried to low carb diet for years and had good success but would plateau my weightloss. Well, no more! I started losing about 1/2 to 1 lb a day week 1 of working out. And, I didn't even workout but 3 times! I aim for 10 reps per exercise and I dont follow the DVDs. I just freestyle. I like to put my legs in the straps and work my legs in large circles. My inner thighs HATE me afterward but thats just fine by me. I don't like them either. ;) I will never ever get rid of this machine. I will always use it. It totally is helping my hip alignment. In the last year I have lost 40 lbs. 5 of those were in the last week thanks to the reformer. Are you kidding? This is real. If you are on the fence and also a sloth like myself, this is the machine for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from dvd Love the machine, but very disappointed in the DVDs. Very slow going. These are the same dvds that came with my last machine , I returned the machine. Trying it again, because like I said LOVE the machine. Going to see if I can find other dvds for this reformer . Only 3 stars because DVDs are disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine! I am so happy I bought aeropilates Reformer! I have had it for about a month now and I am hooked. I am 39, have never tried pilates before I got this machine (fyi: I got the stand with mine). I bought it because I have been feeling very stiff and have noticed a loss of flexibility that I wanted to regain. I use it about 4-5 times a week, 30-40min per time and have already seen my flexibility improve. Also, I am waking up with less cracking and popping. I have lost about 7 lbs as well. The machine is very sturdy. I expect it to last a long time into the future. Also, there are so many ways to adjust the exercises in intensity that I feel like it will be many years before I am ready for a more advanced model. Well worth the investment in yourself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AeroPilates Pro Reformer with Rebounder This could be a good machine, if the rebounder work. Unfortunately, once you get it home and you have a problem, you are stuck to throw it away or return it, because no one will return your call regarding issues you run into. I hate returning a big project so I am left to have to throwit away becuse the rebounder do not work, which was the reason for my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthwhile Purchase I have owned numerous Pilate Reformers in the past and this particular model is aces. I purchased this model for my summer home in the Midwest and I couldn’t be happier. The reformer is sturdy, well built and is easy to use. Assembly took me 20 minutes and while the machine and stand are heavy, I completed the job by myself, and I’m 65 years old! If you take your time, lay out the various parts and follow directions, you should have no problem. Excellent purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my back First, I own a five cord reformer but not this one. I see many bad reviews of difficulty with assembly, bad pulley system, whatever. Well, alot of this is user error unfortunately. This machine is wonderful, built strong, works with your body, strengthens core muscles with every exercise, reduces back pain and inflammation of joints, I could go on forever. If you want to commit to being healthier , this machine is a must have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like it, but don't LOVE it First off I would like to say that I do not really believe in at home equipment. I find it is usually not well made and kind of flimsy with a lot of problems. That being said, this machine is definitely well made and sturdy. It was not at all difficult to assemble. But it is heavy, so if you did order the frame for it, (highly recommend!) get some help to lift it. My major issue with it is the flimsy cords, and the horrible system for adjusting the pulley cords for your arms and legs. I still wish I had sent the entire thing back just based on that. Also, the tension cords are already fraying, which concerns me greatly as well. But as another review mentioned, you cannot get the arm and leg cords to adjust evenly and stay there. I have multiple knots tied in the cord just to TRY to get the the same length. It is so aggravating. I find myself avoiding using them and just using the machine for other workouts not involving the cords! At almost $500 they need to seriously rethink that cord system. Bad, bad, bad. Now that we got that issue over with, the machine itself is fun to use. I find that if you do have neck issues it is best to use a small neck pillow to support your neck or you will feel it after your workout. The Rebounder is a great workout but the machine tends to "walk" a bit if you really get into it. You really cannot get bored as the number of workouts with this machine are endless. But you need to find an instructor that you enjoy and listen to how you need to position yourself in order to get the "true" Pilates workout. I probably would not purchase this machine again based on the horrible arm and leg pulley system. I don't know what they were thinking with that design.
