Rated 4 out of 5 by from You MUST Weigh This Down You cannot use this as an umbrella stand/container without weighing it down. The people who complained about this item obviously didn't use any common sense and foresee it tipping over when gusty winds come through if left empty. We fixed this problem by purchasing a 40lb bag of cheap rocks from our local hardware store (the one with the big orange sign), filling the container with the rocks, and then put the umbrella in place. If you want to put flowers in the container, then only fill the container 1/4-1/2 of the way with the rocks and put the soil/flowers on top of them. There will be enough rock, soil, and vegetation to hold the planter down but water can still filter through and escape through the hole in the bottom. We don't fill the container with just water because it evaporates and we would have to refill it every so often. We don't want to risk the umbrella stand falling over and sending the umbrella through our french doors. We live in an area of Southern California that gets a lot of wind and we never have a problem with the planter/umbrella tipping over when we use rocks in the stand/planter to weigh it down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased Read the reviews so I knew what I was expecting. I absolutely love it! It does its purpose and it’s a neat little table.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The item arrived and I was excited to open the box. Disappointed that the item was plastic. I had assumed, which might be my fault, that this would be porcelain or something nicer. Oh well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap looking and will fade Surprised how cheap looking this umbrella stand is considering its price. This will fade the minute it’s exposed to the sun. No warranty offered. Disappointed because it’s a great idea. Bring it back with a better quality material.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Bother Bought this as a gift for a family member and had it shipped directly to them. I was able to see it a few weeks later and was mortified at how cheap it looked. If I had bought this for myself, it would have gone straight back. Absolutely not worth the money. Just cheap plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted I was looking for a umbrella stand that would not tip over near my pool. I filled this up with water to weight it down and it works perfect. I like that I can use it as side table as well with the lid to hold beverages.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy It! Cheap Plastic. Lids are hard to remove. Not weighted enough to hold umbrella in the wind. Falls over and blows away!
