Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4-PIECE STOVETOP & BBQ GRILL/SMOKER BY GEORGE LOPE I received the item and set it up but, it did not fit the width of the stove( too small) , So I put a stainless steel rack under it , after that it worked great all food cooked on it tasted like the regular gas grill! Be. sure to put on the exhaust fan on stove and open windows so it does. not set off the smoke alarms . Safe to use just keep it clean with plain water for grill and wipe dry and soap and water for tray.

I haven't written a review yet because I haven't had an opportunity to use this. I bought it for when my whole family gets together but we have been eating other dishes right now. I love the quality and thought that was put into this and also the story about the Lopez family too was nice because we have a lot of family memories around good company and food and drink too. Great price right now too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Indoor Grill I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow grills. I had an electric indoor grill but it was a pain to clean and not very big. I love the George Lopez Grill! Cast iron is great if you know how to use it and care for it. It’s plenty big to grill for 6 people. To help prevent sticking make sure you warm it up slowly so it heats evenly. Let your food sit at room temp for 10-15 minutes. Use an oil mister or baster brush to oil it up right before adding food. Don’t use aerosol sprays like Pam because they leave a sticky residue that builds up and makes food stick like crazy. Let the food cook until it releases easily before flipping. If it won’t come up off the grill it’s not ready to be flipped yet. I clean the grill top with warm water and the scrubby side of a sponge. For stuck on food I use a little kosher salt to help scrub it. I don’t use soap unless I plan on re-seasoning it. I dry it completely. Then I place the grill top directly on the stovetop over low heat until it’s warm and I know it’s completely dry and won’t rust. I wash the bottom tray with warm soapy water. The more you use the grill the more nonstick it will become. I like that it can be used on the stovetop, in the oven and on a grill. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grill While it’s heavy and a little awkward to clean I liked the taste and the fact that it isn’t sitting in the fat. I have only used once and am looking forward to trying different flavorings in the water well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for carne asada, steak and skewers I used the grill for the first time for carne asada - I followed the instructions for cooking time and the meat cooked quickly and perfectly. The meat did stick a little but that's expected, it's cast iron. I've used the grill once for steak but more regularly for chicken (breast and skewers) - I was happy with how these cooked, no complaints. I've only used plain water to fill the bottom but will try other liquids. The grill is heavy and you can tell it's good quality - no dents or chips so far. I live in an apartment with no outdoor space so this is a really useful indoor alternative to get that "grill" taste on meat. Doesn't take up too much storage space in my kitchen. Definitely worth it for the price.
