Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too much work I bought this book to help me out find some ideas for slow cooker without so much prep. All the recipes involve so much time to prep before go in the slow cooker. This book mis the mark of simple and easy. It might be delicious but I would never know as I don’t have time to try any of the recipe. So much frustration I throw this book to the floor. Debating to return or not as the shipping cost will be hefty. If you have time in the world this one for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Purchase ! I purchased this ATK cookbook as TSV. Not good for me. Recipes are too involved. I would return it but too much money to ship back. "Pittsburgh Lady"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best CrockPot Recipe Book Ever! I found this to be the best crock pot book of information, and recipes I have ever read. If people who order it would sit down and read all of the introduction you will learn which crock pot to choose, what reasons they cook differently, and that the recipes have been written with the kitchen cook in mind. They did more slow cook recipes for 8 hours, and a put together time of just 15 minutes. I would say this is excellent for busy persons who are working and must get their meals together fast, and ready to cook all day while a person is gone working or doing things. The recipes include different options or ways to do a certain meat recipe so things do not get boring. There is a huge variety of recipes under each section of cook book. I have tried a few recipes now and they are delicious. I like the fact that this book is well laid out, and is not a hard cover book because with this many recipes it would be hard to read except at a table. I have read over a few of the reviews of others saying they didn't have the ingredients called for on hand, or the recipes were not set up to be easy to make. I highly disagree! I found I had most of the items called for in my pantry and the meat in my freezer. I have been taking this recipe book to the coffee shop to sit and read. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Do not hesitate to get this one. Slow cooking is such a great way to cook meals year round.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SLOW COOKER BOOK Very detailed even before one gets into the recipes and then the recipes are very explicit and offers many helpful hints throughout. Will make a few recipes over the holidays. Patrice

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed If you love to cook and have lots of time for prep work and add on cooking in the oven then this cookbook is for you. Otherwise, if like me you use a slow cooker for convenience and to have meals ready when you get home from work, this cookbook will not work for you. The ingredients for most of these recipes call for items I never keep on-hand, take additional cooking time in a skillet or oven and the cooking times seem shorter so I wouldn’t be home to do the additional required steps for hours. I’ve only found a couple of recipes I might try on a weekend but otherwise this was a waste of money.
