Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Quick or Easy Recipes I bought this book thinking there would be simple and quick weeknight recipes in here that would be easy to make on a busy night for my family. Wrong. Most had alot of ingredients and steps and were complicated and intricate recipes. Not only that, but the recipes themselves were not "basic" kinds of foods - they were almost all tings my family wouldn't even eat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would be 5 stars with more photos. I have been a fan of Sara's for years and enjoy her cooking shows on TV. This is a great cookbook to add to my library. Her recipes are easy to follow with a nice variety of recipes to try. As mentioned in another review, I would have liked more photographs. I know adding photos can add to the expense of the book, but when I am looking through a new cookbook I like to see the end results. One photo can instantly tell me what the dish will be and if I'm interested in trying it. Some of my favorite recipes are ones I tried because the photo of the dish grabbed my attention (and taste buds.) So, I love your book Sara, but sure would have liked to have photos of these dishes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need More Pictures I received this book & was looking forward to going through the recipes only to find that there are almost no pictures. You eat with your eyes first & I was very disappointed to find very few photos. Some photos were an absolute waste; for example, for the lentil soup, why show a photo of a bag of lentils? I know what lentils in a bag look like; I would have much rather seen a picture of the finished product! I do find, however, that I like many of the recipes but have not decided yet if I will keep or return the book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this book I love to cook and have a wide variety of cook books in my own collection. So this one just fit right in. I just love this book. So many recipes to choose from. Thank you for bringing this to us all.
